Nah, you're alright mate.vinny has been brilliant for the club , but his injury problems are a concern , and they will not improve , he's nearly 30 years old , its downhill fitness wise ,otto and mangala should be given a run they played together at Porto ,they are younger and they stay fit. We need a consistent partnership at the back and vinny isnt going to provide this anymore , title winning teams have solid centre back partnerships , although vinny's leadership will be missed , otto and mangala are the future , and bring back denayer next season with more european experience under his belt. This is not a criticism of our captain , hes given us 5 or 6 great seasons , he is a legend , but time moves on.

Sadly, it seems Kompany can only play a limited amount of games for us this season. As great as Vinny is, I think slowly Denayer will replace him.

if you have got an alternative opinion , state your case and have a sensible debate , i have no criticism of vinny's playing ability or leadership qualities or what he has achieved for the club , but he can't stay fit , do you seriously believe his injury problems will improve with age ?

Look at how many goals we have conceded this season with him in and out of the team and you will find your answer. He is the glue that holds our shaky defence together. When he plays there is calmness, understanding and solid defending. When he is injured it's everyman for himself at the back and it's a total mess. It's bad we rely on him so badly but that is just the reality we have until either Otamendi or Mangala turn into the leader he is.
