I'd be more inclined to think along those lines than the other scenarios being touted. Apparently he felt a twinge in the first 5 minutes of the last game according to the commentary. He went on to play the full 90 without any problems whatsoever and looked at ease throughout.
Going away on international duty, especially for meaningless friendlies was the perfect opportunity to rest. He was never going to pull out, anyone who's been paying attention to his love of his country will tell you that.
I'm willing to wait and see what happens before selling him off.

We'll have to sell Aguero as well then for the same reason.
 
Not sure what we can do other than manage the players who are more prone to injury than others as best we can.

It's the only thing that will hold us back from a decent title win not subject to events on the last day this season given Chelsea's situation.

Having lost the title last season relatively easily should be the spur to give the players the hunger and passion needed because they are good enough no matter who is in charge.

Might be wrong but as few as 77 points may be enough this season.

The cheap seats? That's how I feel mate and if you think that's patronising and you're the voice of reality that's your prerogative.
 
So, are we all agreed that he needs selling? How much will we get?
