Big game for Bony this weekend and this is his moment to shine. He is up against Bournemouth and a 37 year old Sylvain Distin if he cant get passed them and him and at least score then there is seriously no hope for him.

I really hope not to be viewing this thread on Monday with more tripe excuses and made up lies in defence of the big man.

As Fred Ayre would say he needs to pull his tripe out tomorrow if he's wants to start winning back the fans.

Agreed. I think it is horrible what he is going through but if he's not going to score then MP has to stop playing him. If he spends this match on the edge of the box holding the ball up with his back to goal then he's done. He also needs to start following long range shots and look for rebounds to tap in.

It's a big opportunity coming up for Bony, and I hope he can seize it. He's already been written off by some, but that's nothing new. The likes of Sagna, Mangala and Demichelis have all suffered the same fate, and going further back there are even more prominent players you could add to that list. Some people will always dismiss players before they get a proper chance.

On a separate note, someone told me that Bony had contracted malaria earlier this year. I just dismissed it at the time as it wasn't reported anywhere, and am still sceptical, but in the second part of today's press conference today (around 3m40s for anyone interested) I can't tell if Pellegrini mentions it. He either pronounces it slightly oddly, or says "malady" which would be a strange choice of word too. Maybe I'm imagining things.
