Shameful singling out of a player who has been shit out of luck since he arrived.

African Nations, two injuries, malaria and also lost a very close relative in last few weeks.

He's an excellent back-up striker who cost what he did because he walks into any other team in the league.

He's lacking games and sharpness and needs our backing.

United couldn't get the ball off him in that first half and the reason he was forced to come deep is because our playmakers are currently out injured or yesterday's midfield were even further back because of the shape we played.

Bony has everything and is far superior to Dzeko.

He won't piss and whinge, he'll get his head down and work hard to be a success here.

He's the understudy to the best striker in the world, and will prove an astute signing.

Despite his sulking at times Dzeko is twice the player Bony is and proved it for us time and time again. When we needed a big goal Dzeko would be there. I never feel that about Bony. I'd agree that he should not be scapegoated or given the shit he is as he is a city player. He is also a good player but I don't think he fits our style of play.

I really like Bony. I think he can come good. I hope he does it quickly because at the moment he's showing nothing at all. Granted he's had his issues of late. I had to laugh in the Sevilla game when his shot which lead to us scoring via a deflection was almost going out for a throw in!

Now is the time Wilf. Use it or lose it. you've got a fucking cannonball of a shot on you. Let's se some improvement.

Had a real battle yesterday, against a good defence, and worked well in the first half and, IMO, ran out of steam in the second. He's had a lot of football in a short period of time and think it caught up with him yesterday. Thought he would have got hooked earlier but can understand the manager not wanting to dent his confidence too early in the second half. The young Nigerian lad is so much more mobile and would have benefited from 20 minutes rather than 10.

Still think Bony can do a job for us. We are top of the league, let's support all our players.

Spot on mate. Sadly people here need a scapegoat. He's an exceptional striker who Drogba pleaded with Mourinho to sign to replace him if I remember correctly.

He'd have started for any other side in the league, thankfully we have the one striker capable of keeping him out the side.

Easy 15-20 goals a season player.

What an absolute **** of a man I was yesterday... I'll admit to it.

I was ripping apart Bony yesterday, as were many other blues around me shouting to get Ineanacho on ASAP.... Then to only read on here this morning that he's apparently going through some family bereavement.

I mean shit, if or when my Mother dies you won't see me ever again - I'll be jumping off a fucking bridge, nevermind playing football in front of 75,000 people.

Bang on Mr Hairdoo

Bony is an excellent player..it must be so hard to be a foil for possibly the greatest striker in the world

For me he just needs game time and a little patience..

Nobody can hold a ball up like our Wilfried and the lad has an eye for goal

I for one am very happy he's a city player

And me too.

He did give the ball away too much yesterday, that's inarguable.

However I do think he's a good striker who's stuttering at the moment, for various reasons. I'm also thinking we don't particularly play to his strengths, and that perhaps his productivity at Swansea was helped a lot by having shit loads of pace up front with him, making the pitch wide and offering service. Yesterday everything was crammed into the middle, and like against Sevilla, when that happens Bony doesn't have the ability to do much other than hold it up and pass it back, any time he tries to turn and run with it he loses the ball easily, because it's not his game or style.

If we want to keep playing to an Aguero-style striker, then we need to buy another Aguero-style striker, or at least try Iheanacho in the role. Nothing against Bony, but if we're going to use him then we need to give him a crack with service that suits him.
