Decent enough player but doesn't seem to be the sort of player we need in that position, weird buy tbh.

And sometimes he even looks interested in the game.

Means fuck all when you play shite and hardly score tho right? All I hear about dzeko is he looks disinterested he has a bad touch blah blah blah yet he still scored goals and he arguably won us the title 2 seasons ago

Whenever he starts, Sterling has to play the number 10 position behind him. He simply doesn't have the hustle, movement or quickness needed to harass the defense or create mismatches. He can only succeed when he overpowers the opposition.

Tactically, he is a problematic player to have in a squad like this. Then having him and Yaya as the front 2 was a disaster really. Both are terrible at harassing defenders, and they were both a great part of the reason why we never got a hold in the game.

Coz when we were in possession Rooney and the Spanish kid ran at our defenders and forced them to play quickly, while their defenders never had this problem coz Yaya and Bony only pretended to be harassing the defenders even when they tried. Which wasn't very often.

Secondly, playing Yaya so high robs us of the central midfield organizer. Something they had in Shweinie.

Dzeko scored the goal that kept us in the cup we won, the equaliser in the title decider we won and then the next time we won a title and our major striker was injured he scored something like 8 in 10 to push us on to the title (really not sure about the stats).

Not interested though.

I know you have all missed me and my thoughtful insight on the £25M donkey.

Thought I would give it a few days after what can only be described as another shambolic performance against Sevilla which I think was widely agreed on this thread. That is apart from those that will not admit that they may have been wrong over Bony.

Now moving onto yesterday I thought for patches in the first half he was doing okay. Not great just okay. What was letting him down and still does is his lack of mobility. When he plays a good pass/lay off he doesn’t move quick enough to receive the ball back and because he is playing so deep we are playing without a striker.

As for his performance in the second half if that hasn’t sealed his fate with some of you on here then you really do have bling faith. He was a disgrace to even be allowed to wear our shirt.

He has his chance now and failed appallingly he should be dropped right down the pecking order and Kelechi should be the first choice. There is no excuse for the abysmal displays we have had to witness he needs to work harder but doesn’t seem to have it in him. Just a lazy player.

There are no more excuses you can push to defend him any more we are better off having Harvey Price play up front.

Any chance you can fuck off, but for a lot longer this time

Can't believe he has been written off by so many here.
He was hampered by injury last season and contracted malaria in the summer. That's a pretty seriously debilitating condition.
The guy has not been blessed with good health and we have yet to see the best of him.
I think there have been some encouraging signs in the last few games for him.
He is very strong with his back to goal and some if his ball control and one touch lay offs are superb.
This guy is far from being a donkey. He just needs more time.

Whether people on here like him or not, or think he is the right man for the team, too slow, all that kind of stuff is fair argument but any City fan who can watch Bony play & some of the sublime skills he has produced even so far in a City shirt, & describe that as being 'a donkey' is absolutely clueless fucking knobhead who really should take up watching a different sport & stop embarrassing his or her self by commenting on football.
