looked at tad bit sharper last night, seems to be moving around the pitch more freely. there was one through balll Yaya put through at pace and Wilfried found the gas to get there. Was late in late second half , put through at real pace. I am giving him till January before i make a verdict. The signs are there.

I pride myself on picking a player. From what i saw at Swansea and AFCON. There is a player there. i am sure come the new year we will all agree.

Some stuff brilliant a lot of stuff asbolutely awful, but aguero was stinking the place out up until newcastle so Bony probably deserves a bit of slack too

After reading your above views on his performances this year it is clearly evident that this time next year he will be challending Messi and Ronaldo for the ballon d'or.

The lad is a world class talent don't let anybody tell you different.

Never said he would win the ballon d'or. Said give him more than 9 games to judge, or don't up to you.
If you think less than ten starts is fair crack of the whip especially with the issues previously discussed then good for you.

I think he's better than Rooney, Giroud, Remy/Falcao, Origi, Kone, N'Ji and they are our main rival's second choice striker.

My mind is open to Bony, yours isn't. You've made your mind up after a few starts and are now desperate for him to fail.

Says much more about you than I.

Definitely improving. He will do OK for us but will soon be 3rd choice as Kelechi Iheanacho is clearly class on a stick and can also play on the left or in the hole.

Can't believe you dignified that utter fucking drivel with a response.

To be fair I have made my view over all the games I have seen him perform in.

Some players have it and some don't to be world class.
Others will be great professionals but not get the recognition that they should have had over their careers.
Some will be lucky enough to be at the right club at the right time and end a career with a hoard of medals even though they were a squad player at best.
Then there are those that get hyped up so much by the media that clubs and fans buy into it even though they aren't anywhere near that level.

All of the above will bring a wide variety of views. You will have those that find only the good in a poor performance and visa versa those that can only see the bad. This is the beauty of forums it opens up discussions.

Though I now am not sure if you are a WUM "I think he's better than Rooney, Giroud" - Really is that overall or just on current performances.

You are questioning whether someone else is a WUM?

You've a neck like a jockey's bollox.

So to be clear you actually think that schfc06 reviews of his performances were a fair analysis

No he was rubbish in all. Who cares about goals, all we care about is him missing some chances, I love it when he misses chances, it means I can slag him on the net.

I would like to ask yourself and Ricster et al this.

Why are you so desperate to be right? Why are you so pleased when he has a poor game? So desperate for him to fail? Not even willing to give him 10 PL starts before calling him a 'fat lump'?
Why would a City fan not want to give a clearly talented player time to adjust, recover from family bereavement, recover his form, recover from a life threatening illness? Why so desperate to write him off?

I personally hope Bony becomes a World beater, scores plenty of goals and City win many trophies. I really hope the lad becomes a star.
I hope for these things because we as fans, the club our City will benefit. This is why I'm desperate for him to be a success. I'm more incline to defend our players as I personally want to see them, our club do well. I'm not interested in vindicating my opinion.

Do I think Bony will win the Ballon D'or? Most likely not. Am I prepared to give him a full season to prove himself, most certainly.

Oh and I'm not a WUM, I believe he's better than the current Rooney and his PL goal scoring record is every bit as good as Giroud's and I personally think he's better.

They've been a lot fairer than the shite you're posting on the subject.
All in all he's still a bit hit and miss. Can go from the sublime to the ridiculous in the space of two passes but he's getting in good positions and I can see him scoring a steady stream of goals once he's 100% fit and 100% concentrated without having to worry about off field problems.
Once people accept he's not Aguero and offers his own unique contributions the better. He actually scored his hardest chance last night as well as playing his part in two others. If he can start putting the ones on a plate away we'll see a different player confidence wise.
