Used to run a works team in a summer league and we came up against a very good health board team who had Saturday amateurs throughout their team. One up front who played southern counties with Threave Rovers and a good friend of mine.
They played a standard 4-4-2 while I thought it best to play a 5-4-1 to counter their threat. Up until around the 60th minute we were in with a shout of getting something out of the game at 0-0, and at half time the health board team were arguing on the sidelines. 2 of the players in defence for our team had never played football for a team before nut they had heart. We lost the game 2-0.
After the game, not only did the ref give us praise but my mate, who is a cracking footballer gave us a heap of praise for how good a game we gave them. They were just a lot fitter than us in the end.

Today when Norwich had the ball they played 3 along the back and without the ball 6 along the back. I'm not defending Wilfred by any means but I do know that when you get your tactics right at any level of football it easy to silence their attack. Also I believe playing a 4-4-2 did not help how we played today and it pisses me off that Pellers still persists with this formation.

When I have time I will do another Bony assessment but believe my friend, it is very difficult to play against 5 defenders let alone 6.

Good post mate but we've tried 4-5-1 with bony and it doesn't really work either

Fact of the matter is Bony isn't good enough

Today he couldn't hit the target, didn't pass at the right times, couldn't trap the ball and has no pace

As I said not defending him and I don't understand why Keld chi was taken off and Bony was left on.

Rumour in the legends bar is that Bony has it written into his contract that if Agueros is injured he is the number 1 striker.

Also, Kelechi played behind Bony against palace and I don't see what reason that was changed today.
