That was a proper striker's performance, strong, excellent touch, gave us a real platform to play off.

He took his goal fantastically too, really hope we see more performances of this level.

3rd behind Fernandinho and Fernando

4th behind dinho, Fernando and navas. In fact it was such a good performance it's easier to say who could've be man of the match. That was such a team performance and was probably the best game in a city shirt so far for Sterling, Navas, Bony and Fernando.

"Personally I never doubted the man for a minute"

Bang on. I thought he was excellent too. Rami made some proper last ditch blocks and tackles. Wilf was unlucky he only scored one goal.

That's what we've all been waiting for! He finally showed that same ability that our club saw in him at Swansea. He's getting up to full fitness and getting match sharp. A striker like him is invaluable when you have so much pace and talent in midfield. The centre backs will get physically bullied all game when the ball is played to his feet. They'll struggle to compete with him aerially and if they don't read the flicks etc then our quick wingers will be played in behind them... he's so tough to defend against. Similarly to Aguero you can get tight and be turned, back off and watch the ball go in the net.

I like that he keeps on taking shots on, that's something we've often lacked and it means defenders cannot back off him too much which is then good for runners going beyond him. Glad to see him put one of those cut backs away, and so easily too! That's a man who is confident. He knew that was in as soon as it left his boot.

Should be in great confidence for the game at the weekend now!

Fantastic player at Swansea and perhaps most significantly has suffered from malaria in recent months. I am sure he will be crucial for us and gave a strong performance last night rewarded with a cool finish. supercity88 mentioned his shots and he is a bit like Jimmy Floyd Hasselbank in that he has a powerful shot with either foot. While he was off target against Norwich the evidence was there last night that if he gets an opportunity he will be a big threat with his shooting power.

Unbelievable hold-up play last night, something we've never had from a striker in Europe. Time and time again, the ball was played into Bony with his back to goal and he held the ball up so well. I felt Bony was unlucky not to get another one or two more goals aswell. On another day, he would have.

Aguero might be quicker and more clinical, but Bony offers much better hold-up play and real power up there. Two great options.

Whereas Aguero would have demolished the high line Norwich played on Saturday, Bony was the perfect man for the job that needed doing last night. I thought it was interesting that his goal came when he had to react instinctively rather than other attempts when he had a few seconds to think. When you're a bit low on confidence having those few seconds can often spell disaster.
