He plays like he's just content with being here - like he's achieved all his goals by merely getting this move. Fucking show some desire, some will to score goals. Fucking... arrrggghhhh! He winds me up.

Baffling comments by some. He was up against some of the best and most experienced European defenders in the past 10 years tonight and had a rough time. He was no worse today than Aguero was against Watford. Dzeko gone, Jovetic gone so I guess we were always going to have a scapegoat with Kolarov playing well. Really hope he proves a lot of people wrong. Personally think he's a good back up option.

Ricster its not an advantage Id have kept Edin and kept Edin,Sadly and I hope im proven wrong but Bony is not good enough at this level

I think we signed him last season in January when we were level on points with Chelsea to help our title push but always smacked of a panic buy to me. He is good at holding the ball up but a team that wants to win the CL needs more than that. He had a good strike rate at Swansea but they create a lot of chances, look at Gomis this season. It's easier to play for a mid table team where there is less pressure and defences don't play with 10 men behind the ball against you. Playing for Premier League challengers and in the Champions League is a massive step up in quality and psychologically and I just don't think he is good enough to be our 2nd choice striker. Either sell or keep him as 3rd choice but a top class striker that can challenge Sergio has to be a priority.

Sadly I just can't see where goals are going to come from. Not writing him off though, he clearly brings something different to the team.

But at this level (CL) you need an edge, a trick up your sleeve, and what he is currently doing for the team isnt enough. Even Mandzukic looked bang average and one dimensional tonight.

Not enough pace but can hold the ball up so he does give us something. He seems to require too much time to put the ball away on tonight's performance - he really should have scored tonight but shanked it wide. You have to take your chances in Europe as they don't come that often. Not helped by the slowness of Nasri and YaYa getting up in support.

I like Bony, but it's fair to say he was pretty poor tonight. He wasn't the only one though.

His touch was awful, and he struggled to influence the game. Showed one or two glimpses of what he's capable of, but a night to forget for him.

Fairly sure those pining for Dzeko were equally critical of him though.
