How much did you buy him for again?
Hasn't done too much to be honest, suppose he was only gonna be a bench player though.
He was part of a squad that qualified for the Champions League and will do so again this season. Firmino and Benteke cost more and won't achieve that during their entire tenure at Liverpool Football Cult.

That's the thing, I didn't mean it like that, maybe I worded it wrong.
I genuinely forgot how much you bought him for, and in terms of not doing much that's because he hasn't played. Which led me to say, well he was bought in as a bench player.

He has done nect to nothing as of yet....how many has he scored....3 or 4?
In his defense he has had a bit of bad luck with injuries but in the games he has played he has done nothing to impress imho.
Id much rather have a player who is more mobile....lacazette wuld be decent( though vry expnsive i guess) .
If we lose aguero ay any point for a significant period o time we could have an issue....however we have the attacking midfielders to negate some of that loss and id be seriously tempted to throw kelechi in ( tho that would be in a huge ask for such a young player with a lot to learn)

There has definitely been a change in direction in the acquisition of signing strikers amongst the big clubs. With the 4-2-3-1 being the default position clubs like ourselves, United, Chelsea, Arsenal all seem light in the striking department. Or what would have been considered light a few years ago.
I suppose the thought process behind signing Bony was he is used to playing upfront on his own, relatively injury free and has premiership experience.
26 million pounds seems a lot of money to sit on the bench but I suppose if you are going to have a squad with only two recognised strikers, you need to ensure the replacement has a certain pedigree as it is likely his services will be called upon.
Personally I would have liked a striker who could play in a number of positions where as Bony is really only going to slot in when Aguero is absent or we revert to a two. But then Im sure every club would want that type of player, and off the top of my head it is only Arsenal (Sanchez) who can fulfil those roles to a neccessary standard.
