Haven't read the thread, but had a phone call tonight to say that YaYa's agent claims he is staying. My assumption from this is that he's simply forcing he transfer fee down to ensure his client gets the most offers and highest wage.

No point going down the tabloid/pantomime route of calling him a twat.
He's doing his job and doing it well. YaYa's position is untenable and City are near to deals on his replacement(Pogba?). Suddenly YaYa's Agent stops pushing for a move and pretending he wants to stay and the fee goes down from£20m to £5m. It's simple negotiation skills.

You can't have it both ways. A player normally forces a transfer by saying he wants to go not stay. His agents simple negotiating skills are questionable in my view.

If Yaya stays I'm happy. At least he isn't going on a Bosman if he does go.

I think now is the time to sell Yaya if there is a decent offer on the table.

If there isn't I think the club would be quite happy for him to stay. It's Yaya that is pushing for a move not the club.

We could sign Pogba and keep Yaya. It would give us plenty of options in terms of team selection and formation.

FFP isn't that big a deal now and a lot of other high wage earners will be leaving.

I don't see his agent being able to screw Txiki this Summer.

Staying or Going?

Retweeting a fan saying his son had a nightmare he left and then saying he was praying he was staying?

If he was going surely he is just rubbing salt in the wound for that lad by mocking him for praying he stays and then goes!

My reaction was same as DD: It's just a negotiating tactic to force fee down. I think City want rid, and the agent knows we want rid so we can free up space up in the squad. If the fee goes down, then the benefits package for the player can go up

He's just retweeted some weird stuff about a random guy who is named after Yaya, and who is hoping that the big man stays here. I don't even know why I needed to write it down here. Ah ok, I was too slow.

Anyway, I'm afraid this can be a long summer in terms of this saga, especially as I can't see the dealing process with Inter too easy. It would be great for once if Yaya told something straightforward to the media about his purposes (or his idiotic agent, not that we believe him anything).

I doubt he would being is Yaya is Muslim and obviously won't make a joke of praying. If so, it's a disgrace but I wouldn't of thought so.

On the pics of the squad at the airport earlier toure was on the phone from when he left the coach until he got on the plane including 15 mins to board

Surely if Yaya does stay and the Pogba deal goes through Yaya will not get the same gametime. Maybe we could play both for certain periods of certain games but as a regular central midfield partnership it would be suicide against top opposition.

The only sense I can see in this is Yaya being responsible for guiding Pogba as a sort of understudy for one season before reuniting with Mancini for the 2016-17 season.

No doubt that 18 year old, long haired child that runs City's twitter must have hacked Yaya's account again.
