We can if we go with, and stick to a 4-2-3-1 formation with Pogba and Fernandinhio in the 2 and with Yaya in the 3. This I would go with against the better teams but for weaker teams I would slightly tweak it into 4-1-4-1 with Fernandinhio as the 1 with Pogba having a box to box role from the 4. Same team but with slightly different tactics per game and with the additional benefit of keeping the same "best eleven" week in and week out with changes only being made to cover injuries, loss of form, or special situations such as having a designated man marker when facing players like Messi.
Hallelujah and Amen brother!!

Now you just need to explain this to the dude in charge who's obsessed with 442.....

PS: Good luck! :-)

hope this is true and the people who run city can see what most city fans can see

if we play him in the right formation then he's a real asset. thats if he wants to be here. i'm not convinced.
A bit off topic, but what's with everyone changing usernames?

It seems like new forum, new usernames, similar to the same way everyone has a new haircut on the first day of high school.

Or are you sick of being stalked by the haters of 'he who's name shall not be mentioned' for fear of sending BM into meltdown? Lol :-)

Yaya Toure decided to stay at Manchester City after being assured he is a key figure in the club's future by owner Sheikh Mansour, his agent has said.

Playmaker Toure looked to be on his way out of the Etihad Stadium this summer and was linked in reports with clubs including Inter Milan and Chelsea.

However agent Dimitri Seluk has confirmed Toure will remain at the club he joined from Barcelona five years ago.

Seluk said in the Sunday Mirror: "Yaya is staying - because Sheikh Mansour told him he must stay.

"Mansour told Yaya that he is still a very important player and that he was the first big player to join City after the takeover.

"He told him that City wouldn't even discuss a sale.

"This is good. People have tried to say that Yaya only wanted more money, but it was never about money. It was only about respect."

Seluk had previously claimed Toure was "90 per cent certain" to leave City at the end of the season.

City boss Manuel Pellegrini repeatedly stated his desire to hang on to the Ivory Coast midfielder, with the 32-year-old having two seasons left on his contract.

Are you really that fickle

why are people so sceptical about this ,but on the other hand are wi

why are people ready to call bullshit on good news ,yet lap up any bad news as gospel,

I do not see this as good news. Yaya Toure is rapidly becoming a spent force. His performances last season borderlined petulance (because he didn't get a new contract) imho

Kompany and Zabs were crap as well. As was Hart the year before.

Let's get rid of all our best players and keep all the ones who aren't good enough :)

Ferguson and Wenger - great at knowing exactly when to sell, even when the separation was painful (Henry, Beckham).

City - the total opposite in most cases.

And that's coming from one of Yaya's biggest fans. Thinking any player is irreplaceable is nonsense and the thinking of a small-time club. Some are very hard to replace, Yaya being one, but there are always replacements even if not always the obvious. 2 years ago, would you have expected Matic to be the Premier League's best holding midfielder in 2015, for example? Probably not. We only think of 3 or 4 obvious names like Pogba and Koke but clubs with elite and extensive scouting systems will see many possibilities.

YouTube compilation warning but here is an example of a player on the cusp of emerging as an elite midfielder, much like Silva when we bought him. Does the passing quality look familiar to anyone (and yes, he does this all the time, not just on highlight reels)?

Ferguson sold Pogba and brought Scholes out of retirement. He kept Rio around long after his use by date. All he was good at was getting rid of players who challenged his ego or authority.

Keeping Toure is an inspired move IMO and will make it more likely that we will land Pogba.
