IMHO, Yaya can play in a two against the lower teams in the League. You know the ones, those who come to defend and hope to catch us on the break.

Oh, and Chelsea, too.

But when we're playing the better teams and those who have a go, such as Arsenal, Swansea, Southampton and dare I say it, the rags, we need an extra defensive midfielder in there, just as Bobby used to do with Barry and NdJ behind Yaya.

So if yaya stays i wonder how that will affect the pogba deal? Surely we cant offer £200,000 a week if yaya is still here?

We can if we go with, and stick to a 4-2-3-1 formation with Pogba and Fernandinhio in the 2 and with Yaya in the 3. This I would go with against the better teams but for weaker teams I would slightly tweak it into 4-1-4-1 with Fernandinhio as the 1 with Pogba having a box to box role from the 4. Same team but with slightly different tactics per game and with the additional benefit of keeping the same "best eleven" week in and week out with changes only being made to cover injuries, loss of form, or special situations such as having a designated man marker when facing players like Messi.

Yaya Toure decided to stay at Manchester City after being assured he is a key figure in the club's future by owner Sheikh Mansour, his agent has said.

Playmaker Toure looked to be on his way out of the Etihad Stadium this summer and was linked in reports with clubs including Inter Milan and Chelsea.

However agent Dimitri Seluk has confirmed Toure will remain at the club he joined from Barcelona five years ago.

Seluk said in the Sunday Mirror: "Yaya is staying - because Sheikh Mansour told him he must stay.

"Mansour told Yaya that he is still a very important player and that he was the first big player to join City after the takeover.

"He told him that City wouldn't even discuss a sale.

"This is good. People have tried to say that Yaya only wanted more money, but it was never about money. It was only about respect."

Seluk had previously claimed Toure was "90 per cent certain" to leave City at the end of the season.

City boss Manuel Pellegrini repeatedly stated his desire to hang on to the Ivory Coast midfielder, with the 32-year-old having two seasons left on his contract.

If a club agrees to pay what we want, we will sell him.
