Re: Yaya?
I think Yaya does have to go. I won't lay all the problems today at his door like others, I think Clichy and Navas (why drop Milner?!) were much more at fault. The simple truth is, in this system with such a high line our midfield have to be shit hot every weekend. Now, last season was the same but Yaya was so potent going forward and Fernandinho covered defensively for him well enough that it wasn't an issue. Now however Yaya just goes absent for long periods of games. Combine this with Fernando and Fernandinho seeming to have a lapse in defensive duties and it blows our entire midfield apart.
Add this to the high line and the back four are unnecessarily open and can be easily picked apart, like today and against Stoke at home.
Again I reiterate this isn't completely Yaya's fault but at the same time he seems the least likely of all those guilty to wise up and improve his game. I can't help but think back to the "cake" farce during the summer, his poor performances cannot be a coincidence. I still think we should have cashed in in the Summer, ship him back to Barca and invested in Paul Pogba
