He was Ok yesterday without being spectacular. He wasn;t the worst culprit that he is being made out to be, some what like Mario at the dippers.

Cake gate has tainted him a lot, I wonder what people's thoughts would be if he played as he has been but that incident never happened.

No one would probably bat an eyelid. Him or possibly both him and his agent have dropped a major clanger. He had a great legacy with the club, now it lies in tatters. I hope whatever it was, it was bloody worth it.

Tevez was the same.

Though Tevez always, and I mean always, worked extremely hard out on the pitch. A true warrior's heart.

he's only playing this badly because of cakegate.
they go hand in hand.

he wants away and it shows.

Sorry de Niro full respect to you as a blue but that is complete and utter b*llox. He has been our best player the last few games. The real Yaya is well on his way back. Give him our support and he will be back.

Pellegrini had it right, it is only our rivals that seemingly want to rubbish him, they have seen an opportunity to destabilise the situation with the nonsense in the summer and city fans seemingly follow like the pied piper.

So clichy, Zabba, nasri, Jovetic, Dzeko, Fernando and Fernandinho all are also playing badly due to cake gate?

Yaya had a very bad game against Bayern, second half v CSKA away. in those games he really didnt look arsed at all. Based on those games in isolation you could say that he wants away.

But in most of the other games he was ok to good, not spectacular. No worse than the players named above. he has been putting in a shift that I wouldnt expect of him if he really wanted to do all he could to want away

Re: Yaya?

it appears a lot of blues find it difficult to give a player a 2nd chance , yaya has been excellent for the last couple of games , he showed enough passion against CSKA , and ended up getting a red card due to his frustration , and he was excellent against QPR , and he also ran the rags , ragged.
Dzeko get the same old shit , he was superb for the last dozen games last season , now he is dogshit again , there are some right fickle bastards on here.

i think you are right he is getting better but make no mistake he wanted a move and still does. even last season he was next to useless when his head drops. you are also correct in that we support him, well all of them, untill they snap out of this blip.
all that said a bit of luck or better still some honest refereeing wouldn't hurt.

Re: Yaya?

As a club I think we should be trying to progress as a 'team' and stop relying on individual ability.

Yaya Toure has been instrumental in winning us both league titles and both domestic cup competitions and I'll be forever grateful for that but we need to move on and quickly. To compete in Europe you need to play as a 'team', you can't have luxury players who aren't prepared to work as hard as the rest of the team. Look at Arjen Robben and Frank Ribery at Bayern Munich, both world class players individually but they absolutely work their bollocks off to get back and offer protection to their fullbacks.

When do we ever see Yaya Toure doing that?

The simple answer is we don't. He's in a position with even more defensive responsibility than either of those two and there's numerous other examples as well but he just doesn't have the same commitment or work ethic to do the dirty jobs that lets be fair no one enjoys but are critical if you want progression. Gary Neville slammed Fernando yesterday for not going for a tackle in the second half against QPR but he couldn't dive in because if he hadn't won the ball their player would then be running straight at our back four, all because he was left isolated in 30-40 yards with Yaya Toure strolling back like he had just nipped out for the Sunday morning papers and that's happening with more and more frequency lately.

Can't blame that one on the ref yesterday. We got the decent end of that with Aguero's goal being both borderline offside and a possible handball. If QPR had scored that yesterday there would have been an outcry on here.
