Re: Yaya?

Gets hung out to dry most weeks in a formation that doesn't suit his credentials

And still he gives top class performances and pulls us out of the shite with a crucial goal

Re: Yaya?

We missed him,you could see opportunities that he'd relish just pass us by. He's not my favourite person but I would have liked him in there tonight. I Dont think he can play in Rome which is a shame. I still think we'll go through as we should have Dave back.

I disagree, with Bayern having so much of the ball and Yaya being very lethargic out of possession it would have been like playing with 10 men.

Yaya is great when we play teams who we can usually get around 60% of the possession against, he is still a top player but at the very highest level he becomes a passenger.

I think packing our midfield with grafters like Fernandinho, Milner and Fernando of the way forward in the Champions League for is until we get that midfield general who is a grafter off the ball as well, think Koke etc...

Spot on. Play him in a five and he will look more like himself

I agree that when Bayern were XI, Ya Ya would have been disastrous.

But when you play against a pressing team that only has 10 men, what you need to do is hold onto the ball with consistent passing, and move the ball around at a pace that invites pressure but always keeps it out of reach, it's utterly exhausting and demoralising for the pressing team. City did it for about 20 mins really well in the 1st half.

Ya Ya, in this situation, would have been very effective due to his fantastic ability to always pick a short range pass.

Milner was very average last night and for me not quite the same player in the CL. Hard work is sometimes not enough at that level.

There was a time last night when I was wishing Yaya hadn't been sent off. We never really had total control of the midfield even with a man over last night.

Re: Yaya?

he's eligible to play against Roma according to UEFA in case anybody was wondering

Re: Yaya?

I think Toure, Silva and Kun have always got to start for us, they are our 3 best players, getting them in the right parts of the pitch should be the debate in my opinion, if we want to win the league or the champions league we don't have the quality to do it without them

That contradicts this

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.uefa.org/MultimediaFiles/Download/DisciplinaryChart/uefaorg/UEFACompDisCases/02/18/44/89/2184489_DOWNLOAD.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.uefa.org/MultimediaFiles/Dow ... WNLOAD.pdf</a>

which says he got a three game ban for his red.

How? His red can't be a professional foul, surely? So has to be violent conduct?
