Now it's time for txiki to earn his money to replace yaya. He's been a ticking timebomb for a few years now and we all knew age was going to catch up with him. It's criminal that we haven't already got someone in who is earmarked to replace yaya when either his legs go or his attitude gets too bad.

Txiki needs to find his replacement in the summer at the latest..DOF needs to up his game as much as yaya here

He's been very poor this year, but a ticking time bomb???? That's a bit extreme. The key factor in winning the league last season, and arguably the league cup. Integral in winning the league the first time- goals against Newcastle. Similarly, in our run to and winning of the FA cup.

I want him dropped, and prob sold. But a ticking time bomb is ridiculous. His head has gone, for a number of reasons I imagine. I think we are all looking at it slightly through "anti yay" glasses after what happened during the summer. Everything he does wrong will be magnified.

He is, however, looking distinctly poor!

Ticking time bomb is in reference to his attitude ie cake gate, agent saying he wants away because there wasnt a poster outside of him, him and his agent engineering a move away from barca.

We shouldn't have been in the position we were in in the summer, we should have had a replacement lined up and when he insulted the club and their sheikh was should have fucked him off imo

To replace Yaya requires one of the best midfield players in the world & we have been stitched up by UEFA & the cartel to enable them to pay ridiculous money for anyone even close to that description, whilst stopping us from competing in the market.

That will change as we move along & then we will sort it.

Re: Yaya?

yaya and his dickhead agent have caused all this the negativity , if they had not created the birthday cake bollocks , and all the twatter comments , we would have accepted that yaya is having a slow start to the season , blame the world cup etc etc . But now a lot of fans think he is a c*nt , and he doesnt put the effort in , his attempt to engineer a move or a new contract over the summer has spectacularly backfired. He needs to pull his finger out , run about a bit , and score some goals , and earn his dosh , starting on sunday

Yeah fair enough mate. I agree he has been since the summer. Just you said he has been for a few years, which I thought was odd!

Re: Yaya?

He's quality but complacent and getting on in years. Think we should sell in the summer and get Vidal/Pogba. Should be restricted to playing behind the striker with 2 of Fernando, Fernandinho or Milner playing behind, unless he gets his form back, cause he's doing nothing for us defensively and it unbalances the team.

Re: Yaya?

Don't think we'll really miss him when he goes to AFCON. Think it'll be the turning point of realising that he shouldn't be an automatic starter in the CM position.

Re: Yaya?

I've had a strange feeling these past months or so, not being as excited about my, since early teens beloved, club. I somehow seem to have lost a bit of interest... I'm sad to say. When I first started supporting City, we did not go into every single game expecting to win it, nor did we have drama-queen-players who used media to complain about the club, the manager or teammates. And I loved every second of it, even if we lost more than half of our games.

Now... with things like Yaya's "cake-gate", the old Tevez-affair, Mario's many headlines, all that crap written about the club... I'm not recognizing the club I once fell in love with. I still support the club of course, and watch quite a few games, but I have noticed I care less and less about the results. :(

Yaya and his antics, I think, was what really made the difference for me. I don't feel gratitude towards him for having a great previous season, not one bit. I can't stand the man and I want him out of the club.

I'd love to once again see a City side with hungry players fighting their guts out every time they play, field with passion, inspiration and heart. But maybe that's asking for too much, maybe those are features more easily found in lesser sides?

Tomorrow we have a derby coming up, and I'm not that arsed about it. And that saddens me.
Even if Yaya scores the winner I have had enough of him.
I hope he doesn't play, but I know he will. I really really hope we sell him this January or the latest next summer, replace him with a young hungry energetic player such as Barkley.

End of rant.

Re: Yaya?

Sure it's been said, but yaya didn't play against Spurs, where whilst defensively poor, we had arguably our best attacking game of the season.

Not really a rant; more an expression of deep disappointment. And fair enough.

Hope you fall back in love with the game, mate. The fact you are posting like that suggests you still care more than you think. Tell you what - come back tomorrow after we've shafted the rags and tell me you're not elated. ;)
