Great player but can't play in a two man midfield, especially in europe. Pellers shoulders the blame for either not realising this or being too stubborn to change.

He was a liability towards the end of the game...like playing with 10 men. Can't continue. We kept playing him last season when he should have been dropped.

Not sure Pellegrini had many options but to play him given the injuries

I agree with you, the problem is there is no chance of Pellers dropping him, or his 2 midfield whether he has the options or not.
 
Not good enough anymore for 90 minutes. Can't be arsed after 50 minutes and that's not good enough. The bloke's an out and out liability to the team in the latter stages of games. Let's face it, if we'd have signed Pogba then Yaya would have been flirted. Hopefully we'll go in for Pogba properly this summer and it's thanks a lot Yaya for the good times and the memories but nobody goes on forever.
 
Thought he had 3 or 4 exceptional moments in the first half but too many times he was a liability. He used to walk when players glided past him straight through our midfield, now he simply stands

Yup, pretty much agree. Before it was a debate as to whether the positives he provides when we have the ball outweighs the negatives of when we don't, but I'm not sure it's even a debate anymore. He no longer dominates games, he has a few great moments and his defending has gone from bad, to terrible, to may as well not even be there. We are desperately in need of a replacement and it was pretty apparent last season. He still has his moments though, but they aren't worth how easy he makes it for opponents
