No Marvin. There's a reason everything goes through him: no one else in the squad can do that job as well. Therefore, we cannot afford for him to be a 30 minute man.
He was out best player today. I'm not sure what some people watch. We got caught on the ball a few times but that's because he had little passing options as well as a double or treble press to deal with. He got us out of jail again.

People can complain that he lacks the fitness to a key player for us, but his key contributions in key games for us have almost always come in the dying embers of the game. So that kind of blows that theory out of the water

You've had a witch hunt all season long as you did with Kompany last season and you are too stubborn to admit you got that spectacularly wrong....You were desperate to get rid of Vinny and the last few months you've been backtracking on that one to some tune. Just can't take you seriously.

+1

That's a bit unfair. I've said he's done well when he's had good games.

I was very critical of Kompany last season because I thought his attitude was really poor. The start of this season he was back to the Captain we knew, and I shut up.

You shut up ? Fuck me that will be a first.

No one can pass the ball as well I agree. He's so accurate in his passing. But he's also very slow. And we have other offensive players who are being marginalised. We are also playing one up front largely so that we can accommodate Toure. He brings great quality on the ball, but there are costs too

It's not a case of setting up exactly as we are and bringing a player in to player to pass the ball from deep.

He was not shit today. More passes than anyone else on our team. 82% pass competion was below his average but is not a shit percentage. He also made 11 ball recoveries, which is a high figure, and four interceptions.

Typical Yaya. Minimal contribution then scores a vital goal. And what a beauty.

minimal! really... the beauty of a talented footballer is to make it look simple... there is nothing minimal about his contribution...

It amazes me when i go on here and Twitter and see so called supporters slagging off Yaya..

He is one of the most influential players the Prem has ever seen and he plays in OUR team..

He has scored so many vital goals for us over the years and now that he is nearly 33 years old, he is still doing it..

He is not going to run from one end of the pitch to the other like he did a couple of years ago but he still has more than enough in his locker to win a game for us..

A City legend and one of the best players to ever wear the shirt..
