Great player for us but we should not be building our team or tactics to accommdate him. We have had the best we are going to get from him and we now need a transition to the next generation.
I don't see why he can't sit deeper with Fernandinho plus Fernando or Delph or A.N. Other providing the legs, breaking from midfield etc with any two of Sterling, DeBruyne Silva, Navas Nasri behind Aguero, at least in big games.
Then he can break forward or the Ferns can, when it suits, & we still have cover, also for tge fullbacks to go forward.
It was so obviously a problem v Seville having a man short. It's ok v Bournemouth or Newcastle at home but not v better teams.
No, you should admit he was shite, which he was. A proper no 10 would have won us the game rather than fucking up every single counter attack. Some people have short memories. If it wasn`t for Yaya playing higher up the pitch we wouldn`t have beaten Seville. Instead perhaps we should take into account who his fellow striker was today and admit that him in the No 10 position with Bony up front doesn`t work.

No but it seems to be a rule, that Yaya has to play. Time that stopped imo. That's not his position though is it. Pellegrini picked him there so surely he is as culpable. We were no better at all offensively when he went off.

He can still be a great player for City but if the formation works better without him for certain games, then bench him.
