Well if he's going to play his 4222 then he should do it properly imo with two actual strikers & a balanced side behind it. If that means dropping a couple of stars then do it. He's gone in the summer anyhow. What we're doing at the moment is neither one thing nor another.

Seeing as he is 10 times the player either one is, i D understand. Give me Verrati, Gundogan or even the non tackling Gomez and I'll drop Yaya too. But what we've got on the bench? No!!! When Nasri gets back, maybe for him, but none of the current backups are even close

I'm with you, Yaya has been immense for City and is a player of great standing in the game. The decision for him to become more a bit part player needs to be done respectfully and that means a player who has the ability or at least potential to have a similar impact. Pogba is ideal and a bit obvious but the games against City he carried the ball with so much ease and also had a great vision for a pass. However I do think a midfield 2 of him and Ferndinho would have similar problems. But going forward we would have a lot more of an impact!

The midfield two wants binning once & for all imo but this season we are stuck with it.

I agree that he was poor. What sticks in my craw is the abuse he gets from the fans when he loses the ball or misplaces a pass, and when others do it there is barely a groan. How he must wish he was given as much leeway as some who have contributed so much less than him.

Have you notice too mate? It's shameful really. :(

Yaya should have been moved two years ago after the title win. One thing that our recruiters haven't done well lately is predict the drop-offs of players coming to the end of their careers and moving them on before it happens. Yaya, and Demichelis should've both been moved on in past transfer periods, and players like Kompany, Zabaleta, Sagna, Clichy, and Kolarov, should be transitioned out soon as well.

How about respect for the fans of MCFC. Or Toure. He could have come of with half an hour to go and won us the game (Iknow we'll never know) and then he could have gone to Norwich and Captained us.

Why do we have to play with Toure or have a Yaya Toure type player? I think most City fans given a staff and their entire working week would come up with a better system and plan than what we saw tonight. A total shambles. Couldn't believe it at the start of the 2nd half when we came out with Demichelis and Toure. That is the nightmare line up for a 2nd half at Goodison when you are 1-0 down in a semi-final. We got out of jail because EFC aren't very good, but right now they are better than us. We are deteriorating, and tonight's performance will accelerate that.

Pellegrini has to take stock now.

Ferguson would have got rid. That was the thing he did best. Keep the fire alive in his squad. Disagree about the others. Kompany has still got it. He'll be back soon

Legend for the club but has shown us tremendous disrespect by asking for a transfer twice.

He shouldn't be captain, shouldn't be undroppable and should expect no loyalty from the fans since he has shown us non.

I love him but it is games like this where he should be hauled off at half time.

entirely agree.

You have the same point of view as I do on this so I'll air a doubt about my own view. How come we dominated the first 20 minutes with Toure. What happened to knock us of course. It can't have been Toure. There's clearly more to this run of form / results than Toure. I think another aspect is hunger for more. These players have won a lot. They see Pellegrini's managememt coming to an end. I wonder how focussed they are on the present. Since Kompany left the team I don't see any fire on the pitch. We've got players who are in the prime of their careers and another season looks set to go the way of the last.

Perhaps this is an overly depressive view yet this is not one result. We've been very poor away from home for 3 months now. The alarm bells should be ringing very loud. And someone should be responding not "As you were". As you were isn't working.

Everton hit a long ball into our box & Mangala was beaten like a child. They did it again, same result. Started to gain in confidence whilst at the same time Yaya, Aguero, Silva, Debruyne started to run less & let them pass it through us. Defence suddenly had to do a bit of defending, went to pieces, suddenly a different game.
