We saw last night why we want Pogba so much.

Toure has been incredible for us but time waits for no man and its finally caught up with him as it does everyone.

You say a much better player, in what respect? Other than Yaya's passing range, I genuinely don't know what else he contributes more than Sterling. You mention Yaya's 30 goals, yet Sterling has scored more this season even with the inclusion of penalties (of which Sterling has earned at least two to my knowledge).

Silva wouldn't need to be a wide forward though. With a technically gifted midfield 3, as well as having Silva, we should able to retain possession long enough to allow Clichy or Kokarov to push up and become a midfielder (when in possession). Silva can then float between the lines and do what he does best.

So in essence, we would have a midfield 3 of Toure, Dinho and one other player, flanked by Sagna and Clichy, with Silva and De Bruyne operating behind Aguero. We double up on width in every single game yet we don't cross the ball or cut in and shoot.

As for the debate between Yaya and Sterling, it's personal preference. When he has other ball players around him, Yaya offers us much more in my opinion. And Sterling isn't good enough for us to line up with a midfield 2. There needs to be 3 in the middle in the majority of matches because otherwise we get out numbered.

As for the Liverpool game, it wasn't just about 'earning the right to play'. They were technically very clever. They double teamed Toure and stopped him from turning with the ball and they pressed our technically poorer players. We can run all day and fight all day but if you don't have the technical skills to deal with the ball under pressure, then you won't get anywhere, and this is our problem. We try and play possession based football but only about 60% of our team are comfortable with the ball under pressure. Certain players struggle to sort their feet out or require too many touches. Against Liverpool that was hugely evident.

He's the problem, full stop.

This team will only click this season when Yaya is sidelined and we trust our other three midfielders, to supplement the return of Silva and allowing KDB to interchange with him.

I would say Sterling's inability to score from 2 yards out is more of a problem.
 
Big clubs sell big players, often at times when you least expect it and the key is to know when to pull the trigger.

its not hindsight but the trigger should have been pulled 2 seasons ago when we could have commanded top dollar for Yaya and rebuilt for the future.
