I think Silva being back will help Yaya regain his best form. They have a very good understanding of each other's game. He's still one of our most effective players and we saw that after he went off against Liverpool, we may have looked a bit more solid defensively but created very little going forward.

Should've let Kolarov take it and opted for a draw aye...

You haven't addressed any of the problems playing Yaya causes.

You can say "look he's still good" & point to his few goals this season, but that isn't going to convince anyone.

Do you think he's more of an asset or a liability in a 2 man midfield for tough matches?
Assuming the above question answer is liability (as you yourself said "in a midfield of 2 what can you do") then you must think we should play the 3 man midfield correct? Well we've been using that & as shown it pushes KdB out wide (our most creative player) and soon Silva is back (our best player) - both of whom will be out of position if we play a 3 man midfield with Yaya.
So do you think Yaya is better than KdB or Silva in the attacking midfield role (as that is what happens when we play the midfield 3)?

You can't deny there are problems caused by Yaya playing, and I've set to see anyone who's in support of him starting the harder matches give a valid solution to the problems he causes. Feel free to give it a go though.

I dont profess to be a football manager, like i said use Yaya for a whipping boy all you like but fact is KDB wasn't here last season and we managed to finish second with this useless lump as you call him. So with that in mind now we have KDB MP, Kidd take note you should drop Yaya we have KDB now we should walk the league this season..

I will contact Yaya and tell him to kick back relax and let the others show him how it's done:)

He needs dropping anyway but more so once Silva returns. He's just slowing our play down and trying too many long range passes that don't come off. He's definitely in decline, Pogba ran the show and actually had mobility to go with technique that Yaya used to produce regularly.

Assume that was a response to my comment given the football manager part.

If so, I've never once called him a useless lump, or anything near that. If you read my other posts on the topic I think Yaya should still get plenty of game time in the right matches. The time has come where certain matches having him in the starting 11 is detrimental - for some reason people on here won't accept that & still think he's the best option for every match, and they never give a valid reason as to why this is the case other than "look how good he has been for us in past seasons" which is true, but everything changes eventually.

If you think Yaya is better than Silva/KdB in the number 10 role you're kidding yourself. He's best as a CM in games where we're dominant, and that is where & when he should be used IMO.

Is English your first language??

Don't get upset at the mans decline, it comes to the best of us, what you're failing to acknowledge is the here and now.. Currently, and there are no signs to say there will be an upturn, he is costing us.. Any opposing manager worth there salt, either double up in the number '10' role, thus playing around him at will or press him hard when in the anchor role... The beauty of yaya has always been his control of the game and being able to drive us forward, he simply doesn't have the legs to do this anymore, added to the fact he's hampering attacks....

Legend of the highest order, past tense!!!!!

For all we take the piss out of United for clearly putting a clause in Rooney's contract stating that he has to play when fit regardless of form, has anyone considered that this might be the case with Yaya?

The guy is shit, end of. He was one of the best in the world briefly but has been nowhere near that class for a long time. Silva injured: KDB at attacking midfield right? Wrong, Yaya gets crowbarred in there every time and there's absolutely no reason for it. It's not his best position any more and he offers the grand total of fuck all to the team.

I called it before the Juve game because it's so predictable and the thing is that anyone with even half a brain that has really watched the guy play recently, knows that he's better off not in the starting lineup. Manuel knows this surely? The guys a professional manager for one of the best clubs in the world and can't be the only one who doesn't see it. There has to be some reason he won't get dropped.
