It might be if he actually wants to win trophies. If Eriksen leaves Spurs it won't be to be anybody's deputy.
Something that definitely won't happen at Spuds.

Read an article recently that Vinnie always signs him for his team on Football Manager.Maybe should have listened to this guy in 2014.
Cheisa from Fiorentina, he's the son of Enrico Chiesa
From what (little) I have seen of him he looks like a very good, hard working right winger with an eye for goal
We have enough cover and Eriksen wont improve on it.If Eriksen leaves Spurs it won't be to be anybody's deputy.

If we were to go after one of theirs,i'd be considering Moura.Still plenty young enough,he looks a perfect fit for our industrious attacking style and he wouldn't upset the equilibrium.
Great player but some serious injury concerns. I think Depay could be a better fit for us; a quick, technical, hard-working and direct winger who can also play as a forward. United/LVG fucked him up for a few seasons but there's definitely a good player under there.Fekir. A very direct attacking midfielder who would add lots of goals as well as assists. Could see tonight that we needed another direct player like KDB
Yeah Gundogan provides fantastic cover for DeBruyne. As evidenced in such games as... .... ....
Sane, Mahrez and Sterling plays out wide, not in the middle like EriksenGiven Eriksen would be competing with the Silva's,Sane,Mahrez and Sterling, how would his signing solve your issue?
All competing for the same starting berth in terms of attacking midfield.Sane, Mahrez and Sterling plays out wide, not in the middle like Eriksen
Um, Eriksen would not be competing with Sane, Sterling or Mahrez. Maybe Mahrez at a stretch, but the other 2 play completely different roles. He would be competing/rotating with the 2 Silva's and DeBruyne, 1 of those Silva's is 32 and will not be extending his contract. Pep is already currently deploying Gundogan in one of those advanced midfield positions to "compete" with the Silva's and Debruyne and he clearly isn't up to the task. Moura would be competing more directly with Sterling, Mahrez and Sane anyway and isn't as good as any of them.Given Eriksen would be competing with the Silva's,Sane,Mahrez and Sterling, how would his signing solve your issue?
They are not all competing for the same berth. This is pure fantasy. Sterling plays wide or as a second striker. Sane is a pure winger or inverted winger. These roles have very little overlap with where Eriksen would likely play in our system. We currently have Gundogan in filling in for Debruyne. How would having Eriksen available not be a substantial improvement on that situation? Not to mention Eriksen is one of the best attacking mids in the prem in his own right and one of our Silva's will only be here for another season and a half. All competing for the same starting berth in terms of attacking midfield.
I agree with that. We have 2 very creative and direct players, De Bruyne and Sane. The rest, especially our 2 Silva's have their own special attributes but they don't have the directness to smash the game open like DeBruyne (those long raking passes. powerful runs and amazing vision) or Sane (the pace, dribbling an direct runs). It's very noticeable when both arent playing how slow and laboured we are at moving the ball around. Even with 1 missing we real notice the lack of directness in specific areas, either centrally (with DeBruyne missing) or out wide (with Sane missing). Mendy does a decent job of creating those direct actions on the wing when Sane is out, but Gundogan simply doesn't have it in his locker to do that centrally. That why I believe we need to play Mahrez in the DeBruyne role because he DOES have the attributes, we've seen them at Leicester, he just looks woefully out of form right now. Playing Gundogan there is just continually trying to shove a square peg in a round hole.Fekir. A very direct attacking midfielder who would add lots of goals as well as assists. Just imagine our midfield if we signed Pogba:Pogba could be forced out of United.
Almost impossible given Guardiola's relationship with Raiola and the Rag connection but I like to imagine a midfield of Pogba and KDB. We would be unstoppable.
Too be honest I don’t think we need his ego and attitude. Thing about City is it’s all about the team not the individuals.Pogba could be forced out of United.
