Given that we started down the road to signing Reijnders after the winter window closed, so long before the start of June, as can be attested by searching online, I’d take it with a shovel full of Himalayan pink.

Weren't we Sheikh Mansour's second choice? The rumour was always that he was planning to buy Everton.

If I remember correctly, nothing is saying I do, he was supposedly looking at a few clubs. The criteria were, a loyal and solid fan base, a nearby rival, and possibly with a large airport "close by".

And the three mentioned above are the ones I recall them being also. I suppose there could have been more.

There's quite a few examples with Dias & Haaland being the two obvious ones
