The one thing that gives me hope, or at least allows me to fantasize, is the lack of links for him, which suggests a club that doesn’t like much noise (like ourselves) is very interested or even advanced. I say this because Palmeiras behaves as if he is to leave in the European summer window. It’s a different situation from the fake noise surrounding certain “media targets” that seem very unreliable and unlike us

Agree. If (and thats of course a big if) we are in for him, the most likely scenario is that it would be no noice at all before some Brazilian journalist all of the sudden comes out saying the deal pretty much is done. Is there any rumored fee about what he could/would be sold for?

If the club thinks Alvarez is ready for our first team, then I would say Danilo is more than ready… like I said, I’ve already seen him in action against Chelsea this year. I would be shocked if he’s still at Palmeiras in the second semester

My point was that Alvarez was already signed in January, so we’d evidently been scouting him long before then, but Danilo’s game against Chelsea was after that. Would he have been doing enough in 2021 to have merited the club’s attention?

That would be a shame. First time hearing this though
