Players who might improve us

I know this is not going to happen, but Julian Brandt would be a great signing IMO.

Available for €25m apparently, Arsenal interested.

I think he's a really clever player, the kind Pep would love and would be a much closer fit to Silva as a number 8 than Phil or Gundo.

He's always looked good for Dortmund when I saw him play, but apparentlly not been a good season for him so far, I mean I wouldn't really judge many players on this season.

At 25m I'd take him in a heartbeat.

Wasn't he a hot commodity a few years back? What's happened that he's available for €25m?

A lot of the Dortmund players seem a bit unhappy with things, and his form has dropped off as a result (like everyone at the club). He came on a free so I think they're happy to let him go for reasonable amount if he doesn't want to stay.

Not really a necessity given Joao’s form & the impending return of KW, but having watched a fair bit of Leicester, I like the look of the lad Justin, he’s played LB RB RCB RWB & LWB with relevant ease & shows a lot of maturity for a lad with less than a full season at this level, definitely one to watch & to think Phil Neville played international football (badly) mainly because he was (not my words!) versatile, then this lad might have a chance

He isnt poor on the ball at all,im not sure who you have been watching.

Maybe not poor compared to his teammates but compared to Gundogan, Rodri or even Fernandinho he is.

Pep won't play a player with 80% pass accuracy in that position as we will be back to conceding counter attacks non-stop.

Ferna wasn’t a defensive midfielder when we signed him. He was an outstanding box to box player with brilliant all round attributes - passing, shooting, tackling, mobility, aerial ability - and also the football intelligence, character and discipline to be moulded into playing the holding role.
So might Pep be looking at a similar profile of player to replace him rather than a current DM specialist?
If so, then one who stands out as having similar attributes to Ferna when we signed him would be Tielemans at Leicester. Likes a tackle, good energy and very good quality on the ball. He would be expensive but a miles better fit for us imo than a technically limited destroyer like Ndidi
I've always seen tielemans as the ferna successor. Think he ticks the box in most departments. Very intelligent player and gets on with kdb already.

He's slow as shit and that's why he needs Ndidi next to him. Ndidi can play a 1 man defensive midfield, Tielemans can not. Obviously has quality but would not be a Fernandinho replacement, he'd look similar to Rodri but offering more offensively.

Wouldn't be first choice striker but Odsonne Edouard is entering the last 18 months of his contract at Celtic. Pretty mental scoring rate for youth internationals and has a 1 in 2 for Celtic.

Could probably send some youth there to sweeten the deal as well. He does look good but blows hot and cold.
