Players who might improve us

Maybe he'll force Havertz, Werner, or Pulisic out. I'd take any of those 3 gladly, despite their poor form.
 
Reece James is brilliant but unless Walker wants out then no chance.
Mount is a decent player but not better than what we already have at the club.

they might not have a choice mate!! That debt is only going to rise further over the course of the next few months and due to the pandemic I can’t see any bank or club letting them extend the terms of their agreement for interest and outstanding fees on transfers? Messi is rinsing them every week and the dopey bastards were so arrogant that hey refused to do what was best for the club? They might be told in a sense to get selling or they will go bust

They're a safe bet though, La Liga or the government won't let them fail and you could rinse them for extortionate payments every year. Look at United under the Glazers. Won nothing of note for the past 8 years but they've been a massive cash cow.

I was thinking about Barca's worthwhile assets when I saw the €128m loss and that it would have been €190m without the Artur/Pjanic trade. The problem is the only players they have that anyone would really want are Pedri, Puig, Messi, Fati & de Jong.

I wonder if they could be strong-armed into a similar swap, but the only one we could really do is Rodri for Frenkie de Jong.

I really like Rodri, but if there's one player in the world I'd swap him for, it's de Jong. His main reason for moving to Barca was Messi, and while he's doing really well now under Koeman...the new board are likely going to fire Koeman at the end of the season anyway.

I'm sure De Jong's on 300-400k a week. Ridiculous money off of one good season at Ajax. Always thought he was a bit soft round the whiskers as well.
 
Zinny has impressed me. He may not be flashy but he does his job and allows others around him (Foden, Gundogan) to do all that. I would rather spend extra on a DM and Striker. Zinny first choice and Ake, Laporte second choice with Cancelo being able to play there when required.

With Laporte in there, Cancelo can push even further up the field with us playing a back 3 in possession. Stones will cover the right and Ruben will dictate the other 2 in terms of movement and marking. The important thing would be to not lose possession on the right cheaply.
