Left backs are hard to find - you would think someone would take a punt on this lad.

I remembered Newcastle fans said when Rose was on loan to them, he played like he didn't care. Between this, edging to get a bigger contract (2017), and that clash with Mourinho in the docu, lad just strikes me as having piss poor attitude. The guy's also a disasterclass in defence.

Anyone think Ben Chilwell could do a job? Other than striker, LB is the position we lack quality. With a new manager seemingly preferring Alonso, he may be out the door pretty soon.

I maintain he would have been a better signing than Ake.Irrespective....He wanted to go to Chelsea.

...and if the last couple of games are anything to go by (bit too soon to judge, but still) he doesn't seem to figure in the new man's plans. Might be worth a cheeky bid. Free up Cancelo to play on the right, Dias + most in form of the rest in the centre. Very decent solid and attacking back four that. IMO

Was clearly not even good enough at Newcastle but when I saw him there admittedly only a few games and not really paying full attention he seemed decent

I like Saint-Maximin but he's nothing like Mahrez. He's more similar to pre-20-goal-a-season Sterling.

What about Cresswell at West Ham if we don't get two young attacking LB or even as a second choice. Will cost only a penny won't take a foreign spot and as i put it ,will strictly be okay. Even Bertrand will be okay.
Zinchenko though a good player is only okay. Mendy is past it. So it we are not planning for 50 mil plus outlay for two LBs the second choice can be one of these two guys

Won't be cheap for a squad player. His stock has increased a lot after leicester multiple injuries. Plus he can play on RB too
We never try to buy from Championship for any squad players. I wonder why
