Players who might improve us

Played wide right for much of last season, including when he got a hat trick against us
Maybe on paper but ingame he was always behind the striker if not the lone striker since Silva more or less flopped. He is wasted on the wings .

Didn't know where to post this, but seems that we are scouting Porto alot 3 times we have had a scout at a Porto game this season apparently. There was a scout there last night for the champions league game as well according to Portuguese media I wonder who we are scouting. Someone's got City's attention
After last night's result, I hope it's none of them ;)

Yeah read something similar the other day. Hard to see which of this lot we’d be interested in though

João Mario, David Carmo and Evanilson.

Possibly Costa the GK too.

Gabriel Veron is a player city have had an eye on for a while, didn’t start that game but could explain the scouting presence.

Remember that City scouts could just as easily be scouting for New York, Melbourne, Troyes, Girona or Montevideo as Manchester.

Yep though they did say Manchester City rather than CFG
Doubt we’ll be signing any goalkeepers any time soon for example

Anything to improve our speed.
For me Alvarez, Haaland and Foden should always be our front three. All fast, technical dribblers and great finishers. But the alternative to wingers Alvarez and Foden are Grealish and Mahrez and none of them got the speed. Mahrez is great and very useful but not Grealish. I can’t really understand why we bought him. Not good enough to bench any of our midfielders and up front the competition is even more tough.

I can see Grealish getting sold next summer to be replaced by someone like Rafael Leao. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised. Grealish is not working for us. Maybe I’m too quick to judge but my impression as of now.

The Goat was ‘allegedly’ signed as part of the chequebook fix that ensured Clayton Blackmore was released from a rape charge in Bermuda
My dad always calls Clayton Blackmore the sunbed rapist.

I'd go for Moussa Diaby and/or Christopher Nkunku in like 2 years if there progression continues.

We need to consider who to replace Mahrez, KdB, Gundogan and Walker for the future.

It can't be fully like for like with academy players, they can be used for depth and to get minutes, but we need senior signings to replace this immense quality.

These 2 I like because we tend to do well with Bundesliga signings and they are very flexible positionally, they can play inside or outside. Combined with Foden and Grealish perhaps able to do the same, this gives us a very flexible 4 attackers.
I saw Moussa Diaby in the flesh a couple of weeks ago playing against Freiburg.

Although Leverkusen somehow lost the game, he was the best player on the pitch by a country mile and was very impressive.

He was lightning fast and seemed to have everything - good technique, good passing, interplay, positional awareness, beating players for fun.

My mate best summed him up as "Raheem Sterling with a football brain".

I know we bought Gomez but i'd like us to go for Chilwell, maybe in January if he can't solidify a starting place.

This was reported last weekend:

"While Chilwell, for many, may seem the natural option at left wing-back for Chelsea, there may be internal pressure from the club's higher-ups to make use of new signings Cucurella and Koulibaly, who joined for a combined £88million. Potter has a healthy dilemma that he must solve in order to keep stakeholders, his squad and the fan base happy."
