He’s got all the physical attributes needed to be a massive success, if he could learn how to dictate a game from Rodri he’d be a colossus. I also think Schlotterbeck would be a fantastic Pep CB - tall, quick, accurate long balls, 100 passes a game.

Both coming into their prime, and if £35mil for Nmecha is on the cards, £90mil for both should be doable. Would be a massive upgrade in terms of pace and energy and give us more rotation options (Gvardiol/Stones at DM, Gundogan being pushed further up etc).

I'd wait to see if Dortmund play him there longer term first, he's there due to suspension of Can right now. Think they'll switch him back to the B2B mid when he's back up to speed.

Schlotterback would be awesome here.

Likely big money (if he is even gettable) but WH are struggling, so who knows?

Bowen won't add much to our current attack. That is not the issue with the current side. Any new signing this season will add to our issues as it still takes time to fully adapt and they would be prone to the same mistakes as the current set of players. That is one of my major reasons for not making any signings in this window. Regardless of how precarious our current position is. We have to add quality rather than quantity.

I like Rodrygo too, but maybe Bowen is less risky as he is proven in the PL. Seems to have a good attitude too.
