Players who might improve us

Took a look at that video and a few more. Also looked at Nico Paz. Smit looks far better. I'd certainly take a gamble on him.
Madrid will almost certainly take Paz back. They have an option to take him from Como for €10m euros summer 2026 or €11m summer 2027. Alternative option is Madrid would get 50% from Como if they sell on Paz. Good for us if Madrid are distracted with different targets to us. Paz current market price is €50m+ upwards. Smit current market price is €25m+ upwards at a guess.

Semenyo has 12 assists in 70 games. Definitely not a playmaking, creative presence.

He's really good at taking up the space vacated by a centre forward like Evanilson and you will never see Haaland do that.

I like Semenyo but feel like maybe he's not safe enough with the ball to be a Pep player.

And as a direct comparison on last year you'd be pretty to daft to sell the 21 year old on the right to buy the 25 year old on the left.

Savinho isn’t safe enough on the ball to be a Pep player currently as well. I agree with the problem being Semenyo prefers the left side of the pitch.

Semenyo and Doku are unique type of players. Physical wingers who aren't afraid to run at the defense and are improving at putting the balls in. We have our own Semenyo at City and Doku can be a very special player and he is already showing improvement in his final product this season

He played both on the right and left last season. Like 40% left and 60% right He is both footed so it doesn’t really matter where he plays. But if we go for the inverted route then having another LW would be nice. Currently it’s savinho/ Bobb and Doku. Bobb can only play on the right while savinho‘s future is also on the right. Not having an actual right footed competitor for Doku isn’t good

Lacroix at palace could be an option. That winger from Everton with the pony tail looks half decent too ;)

If he's here after next summer, where do you see him fitting in? We're almost certainly signing a RB and I don't see him as being good enough for midfield
Right wing could be a good fit for him, but that's if he's still here and we do actually go for a right back.

Right backs signings are still thin on the ground. Both Khusanov and Nunes are good without getting ripped off with the price.

There were some great quotes from coaches like Henry and Kompany who were openly saying how he should change his game. It was around the time of the club World Cup. That was more about getting in the box to score goals though. But it looked like he was doing what they suggested.

I guess with a slightly different approach now and having someone like pep in his ear he’s flourishing.

When Spurs were in for Savio I always said I’d rather keep Doku out the two, for me he’s miles ahead now and can’t still improve massively.

If he stays fit he could have a monster season.

They’re good enough to fill in but not what we should be doing long term. Plus I’d expect next season we’ll be seeing more of Khusanov of CB
Yeah when players like Ake and Stones move on Khusanov is a long term replacement that will do a shift here for years like them.

We just need to find the right target and commit. Personally I think Livramento is worth it as he’s young, a great player now who has played at a high level on both sides, and could get to the next level here.

It’s just getting players out of Newcastle. Which I understand - imagine if someone came in for Vinnie/Silva/Aguero when we were on our way up, we’d tell them to fuck off. Ok these players are all timers so maybe a bad comparison but the point still stands.
