Sanchez seemed pissed off yesterday, would love us to sign him.
Southampton did fantastically getting in Van Dijk. We keep looking for CB's who are good footballers with prices quoted at £40-50m, yet Southampton get this guy for ~£13m. Personally think he would've (and still would) been a good signing. Big, strong, fast enough, a good passer of the ball with a great long shot & threat from set pieces. Could do far worse.
Does feel a little bit like we go for the "big names" rather than looking at players who might slot into our team.Sack our scouts, surely it's not that difficult to spot a decent defender. We're being linked with stones for fifty million, which is worrying. Also Laporte, I've seen little of him but he's priced at fifty million again, not sure paying that for another foreign export is a good idea.

Sturridge, fallen out with Klopp and liverpool fans
Bloody Shane Ritchie would be a step up on Bony. Never seen a player start a career as poorly and actually get worse than Bony.Based on yesterdays performance Shane Long would be a big step up on Bony

shane ward would be a big step up from bony
Fucking Dave Ward would be a big step up from Bony
Have always thought Long is one of the most underrated players. He works his bollocks off and is a very astute finisher, could've easily had a career as a backup striker at a top club IMO.Based on yesterdays performance Shane Long would be a big step up on Bony
