Hazards - to the patient and others. Where possible remove the hazard from the patient or the patient from the hazard (such as a fire).What's the rest of the acronym stand for ?
History - Events leading up the accident (looking for potential mechanisms of injury to aid primary/secondary survey) essentially 'what happened'?
Reponses - Is the patient responsive to external stimuli (voice, touch, pain)?
Airway - Check, maintain and clear the patients airway.
Breathing - Is the patient breathing?
Circulation - Is the patients circulatory system functioning (do they have a pulse)?
That's the acronym I worked from.
