Point gained or two dropped?

Point yesterday now means if we only draw against villa we can still finish 4th.

It all comes down to the Spuds match now, our cup final.

We are needed in full vocal support in next 2 games to help push the players on

Come on lads lets roar them home, we need 180 minutes of none stop support from every man, woman & child and I am sure the players will deliver.

Have just had a look at the table again and take back what I said about 2 points dropped.

2 wins and a draw will do it for us providing we beat Spurs. If we'd have lost yesterday we needed 3 wins.

So a very important point.

If it had been the last game of the season and we needed to win RM may well have played differently. But he is experienced and knows that the difference between needing three wins, and two wins and a draw is immense.

We have room for manoevre still, thanks to the point yesterday.

Apart from all that, I thought before the game that maybe SWP would have been a better option as AJ seems to have hit the wall. Bellamy and Tevez also seem a bit of the pace.
In contrast Ade seemed well up for it. He has pace, no shortage of skill and can hold on to the ball. Passes well too. A great player in my opinion.

I think it was a decent point , still not sure what Barry actually brings to table in quality to be honest . I'm sure I'm missing something here regarding people banking on us to beat Spurs . As much as I dislike them , they are a quality well balanced side which with the return of Lennon has been made even stronger . Yet people on here are assuming that it's 3 points already !!!

How many of you johnny-come-latelies are sitting at your computers analysing the fact that in our situation we should have gone for the win? Well I'll bet Mancini could do with a bit of advice from you, cos you clearly understand the game better than him.

Ive been followiing City for 40 years and today we played Arsenal, AWAY. And got a draw. Good result!

i have been following city for 40 years too, a point at arsenal would have been a good result during that 40yrs, but now, with the team they had out yesterday, and the team that we put out was 2 points dropped.

Think it relies on goal difference for this scenario if I'm right. Bit hopeful that our goal difference will be better than Spurs when they have Bolton and Burnley left to play. I know, always the pessimist.

Point gained for me
Arsenal away is a hard place and not a lucky place for us.
How long ago was the last City win there, Let alone at the Emirites where Arsenal have only lost 7 times in something like 140 odd games

Yeah, it would come down to goal difference, but we are already 1 up, that will be at least 2 if we beat Spurs.

Wouldn't feel great coming down to the last game hoping Burnley can avoid being flogged by Spurs for us to get the top 4 spot.

makes you think doesnt it? it also makes you think that setting out our stall as we did against the rags was the way to go also and we know how close we came to make it come off...if we had taken a point against the scum we would have been looking at a very different table today...imo Mancini saw the last 2 games as must not lose...which I for one believe was the correct approach.

Under normal circumstances a good point. However, if we consider that Spurs are going to beat both Bolton at home and Burnley away, a point has absolutely no meaning on the race for 4th and we will have to win our last 3 whatever. If we'd managed to hang on last week I could understand going for the point, should have just gone for it, if we'd lost it would have made little difference to the final positions.

using yuour reasoning, fourth is ours as we are going to beat Villa, spurs and WHU.
