Points for the final

I have 5100 and not on the cup scheme will I be ok? I have been to every cup game this season and Stoke away and semi but was not sure I could afford all cup schemes. Will be gutted if I miss out

How are they being forgotten about, the fact the points system exists shows that not to be the case. If they choose to join the scheme they are at the front of the queue, if they choose not to join, they have priority when tickets are released to ST holders not on the scheme, that the right they've earned over the years, how is this unfair?

Depends when tickets are released to ST holders.

I just don't like the concept of people being able to jump the queue to the extent that a first year season ticket holder who joins up in the good times will probably have priority over a 10 year season ticket holder who has gone through all the pain and heartache.

And I don't like the direction it's heading where you will be pretty much forced to join up three cup schemes as well as your season ticket to have any chance of seeing the club in a major final again. That's just not possible for everyone and I would hate to see these people just written off as "they didn't join the scheme this year, therefore their loyalty counts for nothing".

I know why it is like it is, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. That seems to put me at odds with a lot of people on here, but it won't be the first time that happens.

Having said that, who knows what approach the club will take. Scheme members could buy a ticket on the first day of release for the semi two years ago, but not so in the final. I guess I should wait and see what the club does.

Not really, I took the FA Cup and dropped the League cup as I couldn't see me missing out on a league cup final ticket with 6000+ points. Wish Id taken the league cup though after two early exits

Think you will be ok but it will be one of last few left and probably be a seat where watching the screen is better than the view from your seat.

Not in cup scheme and understand the right for those in the scheme to get first choice.

I went to both games in 2011 and got decent first tier seats and I have 5500 points but this year ended up in the gods as most good tickets taken.

Atmosphere for the game and the party all day long is worth it but the view wasn't.

They make such a big deal about cup scheme membership now that I would imagine cup scheme members will get first dibs and as per semi final it
Will be done on a points plus cup scheme basis

In 2011 cup scheme was still a relatively new concept I think with very few members and therefore they didn't get first priority but did get some priority once it reached 3500 points.

I think that was done to entice people onto the scheme the following year.

I do Fa cup scheme but couldn't make Watford or Leeds due to other commitments and gave my tickets away. Still worth being on it in my opinion.

I dont bother with carling cup as get more tickets for that and with my points should be ok.

My guess is it will sell out at around 6000 (and not on scheme)points after all cup scheme members have got one. Could be higher though.

I've got 5840 points, my partner has 5740 and neither of us are in the cup scheme... I think we'll be cutting it fine to get tickets. I really hope they drop the points total gradually once the cup scheme tickets are sold. The 'anyone with 4000 and above points' vs. '5000/5500 points' criteria could be the difference between us getting tickets or not.

I thought we only had 17,000 on the cup scheme? Wasnt the 26,000 all ST holders?

You seem to be under the impression all tickets go on sale
Some are used by the club, then corporate and supporters clubs get first dibs, and then they go on sale to Cup Scheme members
A sizeable proportion of the Supporters club allocation will go to S/card holders who are in the Cup scheme.
How sizeable though?

Didn't go on cup scheme because wanted to choose my own seat instead of the club choosing where I went as I am South stand ST, also Missis not ST and loves to go to cup games because of the atmosphere ( more away fans).

Would join cup scheme if we had choice of seat when being relocated.

Cup scheme is a fair enough point for them getting tickets first but the reason I am a season ticket holder and with so many points is so we get rewarded for our loyalty for overall.

If joining the cup scheme doesn't give you first dibs on a final ticket them there is no point joining the scheme.

2011 was our first final for years so the club rightly gave preference to people with a large number of loyalty points. This year however they should prioritise the scheme.

It's the only fair way
