Nobody should ever be surprised when things such as this happen .... however rare they are ....... if you're prepared to site yourself within this creatures natural habitat of the frozen north/Arctic Circle , then there's always a chance of encountering a hungry polar bear , a bear who will basically attempt to eat ANYTHING if it's pushed into a corner for food , and seals are hard to come by because of the frozen ice!
And much the same caution should be exercised with the likes of Adders/Vipers in this country .... they are found in places such as Devon , South Wales , Dorset and North Yorkshire , and especially in hot weather ...... and so anyone walking in woodland in places such as this , or even lettin' kids play around a beach in a place such as Filey , for example , should always be aware that these things exist ..... and they WILL bite if approached !
