Police Wage reductions, hear me out

Fair play to the OP,i agree, like the rest of us who decide to contribute towards society, you are being screwed and taken advantage of as a result of your moral fibre. This country is a joke.

Shame on the tossers in this thread who throw abuse at you.

The police are well paid for what they do IMO. They have benefitted greatly in recent years from increases in public spending. Moreover overtime is habitually abused.

For you to even have the chutzpah to mention pensions, however, is a fucking disgrace. Not only do coppers retire at a ridiculously low age for the 21st century on unparallelled pensions but they often get re-hired by the force that employed them as 'consultants'.

I am anything but anti-police, and as someone who firmly believes in the rule of law I recognise they are a vital part of a properly ordered and functioning society.

But hard done to? Do me a fucking favour.

I feel that theres good and bad in all folks and that includes the police force, its a real shame that the police forces moral is getting lower year by year..not sure if this will eventually lead into more areas of the police becoming privatised

I m listening to you as an
individual and I feel a tad sorry for you... However I will give you the mindset of many on here and many in society itself as bluemoon is a fair reflection on society! I am not anti police as one of my brothers spent 16 years as an officer of the law!

Here goes! The police have gained monetary advantage out of many situations ( miners strike/ poll tax riots/ football games/ political rallies / etc etc) many of these tasks are done as overtime over and above the call of duty! Police officers of your service may be on £35,000 a year or more with overtime etc. By your admission you and your partner who is also an officer you may be on £70,000 a year! People in " regular " society are on a fraction of that. You can easily get a mortgage. Your money is guaranteed month in month out! I don't feel loads of sympathy in this respect. Your pension is awsome! If you joined the police at 20 yrs of age you will retire on a full pension after 30 yrs ( when you are a young 50) you will get commutation of £100,000 plus and a very generous monthly sum!

So I don't really know where you are coming from!!... I haven't even said once that many of your ilk are bent! Bullies! And overrated security guards!

You are so much better off than most in society! You retire early with a mortgage paid off Nd a good monthly sum ( although you have to pay 11 per cent of your wages agreed) not a bad life for a man who is not qualified to do anything! ( I spent 5 years becoming a plumber) extra years getting gas safe registered!

So no, all in all I have no sympathy whatsoever! You will only work for 30 years and you will be well looked after!

Oh and by the way, I ve been stabbed twice, battered countless times and been shit at twice too! That's life I wasn't paid well for it!

Hardies!

OK I joined the Police in 1991, in the last 21 years I have been shot at, had guns pulled on me, someone tried to stab me, I've been hit over the head with a pool cue, baseball bat and been attacked with a samurai sword

I've never been pissed on while unconscious that i know of but all of the above has been done to me and much much more and im a normal Joe Bloggs civilian.

but I ask you this when someone comes through your door to kick the shit out of you who you going to ring? Not havin a pop at you but who?

Well not the fucking police you'll probably give him a crime number and if hes really lucky you'll turn up a couple of days latter. BTW im not being sarcastic and getting that from the news papers that's actually happened to a mate of mine (i had to go round and help him).

To be honest though its not just the police its whole fucking system. The CPS the Police and the courts especially the judges those cunts dont live in the real world.

Any ex-miners on here?

aye..no gripe with the cops here..

Being myself, a boring, law-abiding sod, I've never had a run-in with a British copper, so don't have a problem with what they do. As for docking wages, this shouldn't have to apply to any employee. You sign up for a job, you expect to get the wages you signed up to, regardless of the line of work.

The Nog variant of a copper, on the other hand, is a power-abusing machoman, prone to going on strike (unbelievably legal for them here) if he gets asked to work a couple of lunchbreaks extra, undeniably corrupt, and one for taking revenge against certain citizens that stand for other views that the aforementioned. The Nog police 'force' are that far behind the criminals that most heinous crimes would probably go unsolved. I would love to dock some of their wages, until the point they grow up and start acting in the greater public interest.

I hope you make better decisions on the beat than the one you made posting this thread ;-)

I couldn't do your job. I'd not be able to just arrest someone who's abused a child, robbed a pensioner, some pissed up scrote giving me uneccessary abuse etc. And the paperwork...........................
