OK I joined the Police in 1991, in the last 21 years I have been shot at, had guns pulled on me, someone tried to stab me, I've been hit over the head with a pool cue, baseball bat and been attacked with a samurai sword, following one assault i was urinated on whilst unconscious. I'm not trying to make myself out as a hero it's just stuff that happens day to day in the world we live in. I'm on my second marriage, not because I'm a bad boy just because my first wife cosididered I was married to the day to day duties (and overtime) that came with the job. I'm not after sympathy or a moments thanks from anyone, just pointing out day to day life of a serving police officer, i have since met another serving police officer and we have a son together.
Today the home secretary has announced a lot of proposed changes to the Police forces across the country, in short we will be hit in the pocket in a number of ways, the way it has been sold in the press is that we are just like the local MP's with our expenses claims for just about everything. Our pension contributions will be increased, we have a pay freeze for three years etc etc etc.
In addition to this our length of service is being reviewed and we will be hit heavily in the pocket.
We as Police officers in the UK cannot strike nor would the majority of us want to but because we cannot strike we are abused by the government. I am old school now in that I will see out my days but I do fear around the younger in service officers when corruption will be a viable option.

(sorry - i hate coppers and have plenty of examples of why you are a waste of money!)

The urge to shout 'Ghostbusters' was strong but I resisted.

The A Team.

ghostbusters!!!

i understand you have a tough job but you knew what the dangers were when you applied. i cannot stand the police because from experience, their ego's prevail more than their willing and wanting to help.

I wanted to join the police force as an regular bobby but to be honest, i wouldnt want to have the back of some of the dicks (not saying you are) who i know to be policemen. I will hopefully one day work for the metropolitan within a criminal analyst role.

I hope i havent offended you but you must understand cuts have to be brought in. If i was you, taking into account the amount of shit that has happened to you over 21 years and i was being repayed by having my salary cut, i'd be saying a big fuck you to the people i have worked for.

Im sorry to say you lot as a whole have been targeted to save money..i feel that when ive been involed with the police(nope im not a bad boy) it seems to be very much top heavy with officers who really dont do fuck all but drain the polices resources..
On a more sensitive note,do you think that the joe public have less respect for the police force now?. I think the petty money making esp from car owners has imo damaged the publics view on yourselves..

p.s fucking pig haha just kidding mate...lol
