Political relations between UK-EU

sorry - do you mean £5 - 5s and 6d? Stand to be corrected there. To be fair I am outside my local sweetshop ready to DEMAND a penny chew in the morning and yes I have a big penny from 1964 in my hand.
£5/5/-.

You're getting mixed up with half a crown (12.5p or two shillings and sixpence).

I look forward to the new train fares. Return Manchester to Blackpool in pre-decimal days was £2/7/9. Children were half price but of course rounded up to the nearest penny so £1/3/11. 5 adults and 7 kids please... (and before everyone had a calculator).

How superb it is to be out of the clutches of the EU. I just went to McDonald’s and got a QUARTER POUNDER. It felt to patriotic not to be calling it the Eighth of a Kiloer after all these years. God bless Boris.

This is fucking mental.... good though because its appealing to a smaller and smaller demographic - no wholesaler, retailer or supplier is going to recalibrate or use new packaging to support a dwindling market

Two points. We decided to go metric well before we joined the EEC. And, not content with partying on the eve of the Queen's husband's funeral, Liar Johnson now wants to commandeer her jubilee for his own political ends.

Imagine charging for petrol in gallons!
A vote loser in itself when people realise how much it is in "old money".

The winning would be in people not realising that the price of a packet of food is the same but the size of the packet has gone down by 4 ounces.

They’ll probably start selling petrol in pints. A guinea a pint doesn’t sound too bad.

In correcting the gripes of the pub bores Rees-Mogg has shown himself to lack seriousness.

It is just performative nonsense.

An oddball not in touch with reality who stands to salute the national anthem when visiting the cinema.
