CorkyHe complains about GDPR but it was subsumed into the GPA 2018 as we were leaving the EU, a purely tory act.
You are right. He either doesn’t know the history or cares to forget it. Either way it’s another pathetic Tory attempt at deflection and vote catching.
The UK had Data Protection laws for years before GDPR appeared. The principles of GDPR are pretty much the same as those that existed -lawfulness, fairness and transparency; purpose limitation; data minimisation; accuracy; storage limitation; integrity and confidentiality (security); and accountability.
GDPR was needed to cover UK companies who dealt with, and had a physical presence in Europe.
European countries are unlikely to let UK companies trade in Europe if they water down their GDPR. No mention of this yet….but no need coz England is an island with a mighty fleet of gunboats.
Adopting GDPR cost UK business a fortune.
Who wants to see a dilution in data protection?
They are desperate. Crap like this and the trot out (again) of the imperial measures bollocks is an insult to the intelligence of anybody who has a brain.
The guys a pollock and a good advert for a brain dead government.
