Okay, I’ll explain it again, these issues are structural, they are caused by the UK leaving the EU Single Market and Customs Union, ie Brexit.

Some of these issues can be better managed, but you cannot eliminate them. We now operate a separate legal and regulatory area, rather than a under a shared one. This creates, trade, regulatory and legal barriers which are causing these issues.

Brexit is the problem, the incompetence is just an optional extra.

Perhaps, it’s more the ignorance of how trade works and what a Single Market is that concerns me more.

If you understand anything about business and trade it was obvious Brexit could never be anything but an eye-wateringly expensive mess. Where I agree with you is that the current government have made an even bigger mess of it that it could be, but the reason is, the tories who could have at least made a reasonable attempt to mitigate the damage were all either hounded out or left the Conservative party between 2017-19. Every single sensible Tory was anti-Brexit, and that’s the problem.

The main reason they keep getting elected is that Labour keep electing shit leaders.

So Brexit is now Labour members fault. There is no such thing as a sensible Tory.

The other problem would have been to make it as smooth as possible they would have had to spend a fortune on preparing properly and educating everyone about all the additional overhead rather than the half arsed rush job at the end, and more people might have cottoned on to the real costs ahead of the 2019 election. Even if they’d prepared properly it still would have been shit but not quite as bad.

This all day long. All of Brexits architects knew the damage it was going to do to trade, jobs, workers rights, peoples wealth and food and animal husbandry standards so they just kept quiet about it. Whenever these were raised they shouted " Project Fear" and then they just outright lied about benefits for individuals that they knew were never coming. If they would have had a time machine and let everyone come to this month then go back to 2016 they could never have won.

The glaringly obvious problem is with points 2 and 3, because the EU class the movement of goods, capital and people as well as the freedom to offer services as one indivisible entity - "The Four Freedoms".

You have made exactly the same mistake that Johnson and the Brexiteers made in failing to understand that the other side in the negotiation also has an opinion. You would have failed just as badly as Johnson because of it.

Well we couldn’t because no body would vote for it, the only Labour party that people will vote for is a social liberal one. Until Labours self indulgent deluded members understand that they will remain outside any decision making. So yes the members that elected Corbyn are as much to blame for a shit brexit and a shit government as much as the tories.
