Obviously it's a surprise to people who believed the unicorn crap. Why would that be a surprise to anyone?

Concessions? Off this lot? You know the score when it comes to social policy change. Instead of reform we get privatisation by the bucketload. It is very hard to campaign for the status quo, that is what Remain was basically.
Its like saying to a man stuck in quicksand, do want this rope or are you happy as you are.
Remain never offered a vision, i have posted what i thought a vision could look like and one that may have swayed me to vote remain. Leave had a vision, whether you think that vision is right or wrong doesnt matter, it was a vision, it was different and like the man stuck in quicksand, the rope appealed to him.
The efforts remain made were pitiful as well, I don't think getting a load of middle class liberals to march through London appealed to anybody north of Watford in a town that was struggling. They looked like well off latte drinking Waitrose shopping stereotypes. It further alienated those in the red wall north.
The other issue was there was no real face of remain, nobody they could rally too. Farage as much as i despise the **** was a far better face than anything remain put forward.
I do actually have real sympathy for the remain position, ironically it is the most small C conservative position whilst leave was the radical position.
The problem that leave faces now though is the government are fucking useless, they have fucked up Brexit so much its fucking shocking. That is symptomatic of Johnson though, a lazy fat **** who likes glory but not the hard work that earns it.
If remain, really need to cling to something, it is the Government they should be attacking not the leavers. Then they may get some concessions.
True pal.Concessions? Off this lot? You know the score when it comes to social policy change. Instead of reform we get privatisation by the bucketload.
Would our Vaccine rollout be as good as this if we were in the EU
Do empty wagons not need a Kent access permit?“We’ll pay you to drive an empty lorry back, we‘re desperate, guv...”
‘The company, which did not want to be named, said it had about 50 trucks delivering cargo every week from the EU to the UK, but they were returning empty as importers in key industries such as the motor sector were willing to cough up to ensure smooth passage.
“Companies are willing to pay the price for the trucks to go back empty because it’s cheaper than being stuck in a lorry park for four or five days,” said the source.
“We charge €400 to €600 a day, so it’s cheaper for companies to pay for the trailer to go back empty and then get another delivery back into the truck. It’s stupid at the end of the day but that is Brexit’ @guardian
why wouldn't it be? Its not like in the EU its being run centrally.
It's already obvious that if we could put the clock back, and people knew what they know now, we'd never have left. Rejoining is another matter. Frankly, I can't see any way to get a silk purse out of this sow's ear of a Brexit but the pig is dead.like complaining about Liverpool winning the league and pointing out how every little bit is awful months after, instead of moving on and focusing on winning the title back.
If remainers have lost things, maybe it will engage them to "win them back" rather than whinge about what's been and gone.
Just feels we're way ahead of Europe in the roll out of vaccines, not sure if that's just a coincidence we have left
The pointlessness and futility of it all is part of the enduring charm of this thread ;)I voted Remain myself. But I don’t understand what the point of day-after-day trying to be proven right for something that won’t change and especially if they did next to fuck all about stopping it in the first place.
