Political relations between UK-EU

I realise I am pissing into the wind with this but I'd urge any remaining Brexit Ultra to listen in to James O'Briens show played back 11am to 12 noon section. There you will her two British business owners - one a vintner one a cheese maker from Cheshire - to learn just exactly what the Brexit clusterfuck is doing and will do to thriving British businesses.

It's only an extra 1.2%. Compared to the extra 30% shipping and customs costs that people are experiencing it's neither here nor there. Now it's no longer cost effective to buy anything from the EU we won't be making many transactions anyway. These benefits just keep on coming.

It's a joke. Loads of stories all across Spain now talking about deliviries arriving from UK with a hefty tax/administration/customs bill. Loads of goods being sent back as people not prepared to pay it. An example of one I've just seen is a £90 goods order coming with a 42euro bill. Order sent back, everyone loses out.

British exporters sending to EU countries are going to die a painful death.

Another minor inconvenience experienced today.
I had a defective item from Google which I need to return. Google sent a replacement item with detailed instructions about packaging up the defective one and how to arrange for courier collection. Just done that and the confirmation email from DHL has told me not to package it up because the driver will need to inspect the item for customs purposes as Google's returns centre is in Poland. So I will need to remove the packaging tape and repack while the courier is waiting. It also means I need to be in and can't just leave it in a safe place. Just a minor annoyance in the scheme of things but one of many. If it takes a courier 10 minutes to collect an item instead of 10 seconds costs are inevitably going to go up. In this case it's Google that will have to pay but that ultimately will work its way on to the price of the product.
Thanks Brexit!

This is Lance Foreman - Brexit denier - oh and former Brexit MEP.............Why didn't his party point this out when campaigning for Brexit one wonders? Nice guy though. His comment on Grenfell was " you can't solve everything with money" yet here is is on the grift asking for govt money so solve a problem he helped to create.

I say grift as this is on his company website
