Thanks for the replies, still doesn’t help.

One can usually figure the end goal but in this case it’s so abstract that the disruption is at the levels of the cyber-war linked with the Russians.

what a great deal says Professional negotiator - no need to read it just vote says IDS - reality =

It’s funny that one of the former regular contributors to this thread used to metaphorically wank himself silly about the professionalism of Frost and his team. It would be amusing to see his explanation of where it all went wrong, and how someone so professional could make so many amateurish schoolboy errors because it was more complicated than he thought, in spite of all the evidence that was there that showed it was never going to be easy.

That particular poster was a completely disingenuous ****. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if he weren't a paid mole. Funny how he fucked off before the chickens started coming home to roost.

The fact that he was so consistently and spectacularly wrong about every aspect of the WA and trade deal negotiations with his ludicrous repetitive catchphrases does suggest it was more than just personal opinion, especially if you take at face value his boasts of being some sort of top consultant that government departments fell over themselves to get in to manage their complex change programmes. He also refused to engage in any meaningful discussion and would totally ignore salient points made by many people. Instead he would attempt to insult, belittle and demean posters that regularly destroyed his arguments, in a clear attempt to put them off entering into any discussion with him that showed him up to be a gaslighting ****.

Only poster I've had to put on ignore. Generally enjoy reading the cross section of opinions here whether I agree with them or not. But christ, what a ****.

In short:
The standard response of the brexiteer.

The Insufferable Bloviator. Brexit personified. Ignorant and arrogant in equal measure, his terrible English and grammar somehow completed the picture with an appalling elegance.

Can somebody tell me where we’ve made actual gains? From reading, we’re losing out in the agriculture/horticulture sector, fishing, finance, distribution, live music industry, NI, etc, etc, and I’m just trying to figure out what is the end-game for the conservatives.

Is it a matter of EU regulations that were barring certain elements of the Conservative lobby groups plans to commercialising/privatising certain areas, such as health?

We can now sell apples to India (which we could have done anyway but now don’t have to tell the EU we are doing it). We have a ‘world beating’ agreement with Norway which will cut red tape (the red tape we had to put in place anyway because of Brexit). We are sailing along quite nicely.

And don’t forget the twat from Wetherspoons who can now sell non-European wines in his licensed hovels, which …he ……err…..already could while we were in the EU.

Only when he can muster enough staff to open them...........the sweet irony of the impact of Covid ( tells all his staff to fuck off and work for Tesco - that statement alone proves they will be a better employer ) and the impact of his beloved Brexit robbing him of staff from the EU ( whilst simultaneously denying it was a result of Brexit but asking for special VISA dispensation for bar workers to come from the EU ) have been a joy to behold. Result? They have asked their debtors can they delay repayments to them because Spoons is broke !!

He’s become a poster boy for brexit - but probably not the way he expected.
