Interesting read from a truck driver.

‘We hear about driver's shortage in the UK a lot. Some say it's Brexit, other say it's Covid. In my opinion both, but those are just two of many reasons for that situation. It's a long read, but I wanted to be throughful.’

long but good read.

Won’t be long before this translates to increased prices in the shops. Drivers won’t do it any more or take it up as a career unless they get paid more.

Well, good to know I guess. Bit late, mind.

Dominic Cummings, Boris Johnson’s former aide, says anyone who is sure that Brexit is a good idea “has got a screw loose” @BBC

He's admitting the bus was a lie. Trying to pretend it was "giving the public information"...

Kuenssberg more pushy about these lies now than she was during the Referendum campaign.

I always knew Cummins was a slimey rat, but watching this and seeing him smirking before every answer knowing full well they knew they were fucking the country over, utter utter twat.

Theres nowt in the shops mate .... Tescos Sowerby Bridge is empty .... so tried Lidl .... just as empty.

wheres @worsleyweb and @mcfc1632 ?

Lidl shortages are partly explained here - they have been messing with a loaded gun and pointing it at their own feet

The weaver has now admitted to the con.

However, the Emperor thought the procession must go on now! The lords of the bedchamber took greater pains than ever, to appear holding up a train, although, in reality, there was no train to hold, and the Emperor walked on in his underwear.

Spain continue to harass the UK over Gibraltar but their 2 enclaves in North Africa seem excluded from any form of EU rules.

Spain is in the EU - gets preferential treatment.

UK is not in the EU - gets no preferential treatment.

This is literally how the EU works. Those in the EU get benefits. Those not in the EU don’t. It is what we voted for, remember?

Our 'oven ready deal' is overcooked. Nobody explained that you had to follow the instructions.

This threat is made on a daily basis - Frosty the Showman knows what a disaster this would be and as the threat is repeated daily its effect as a threat is watered down. We are pathetic.

Merry Xmas Belfast

It's not just going to be NI. Longer term NI will be be fine as their supply chains will be re-orientated via RoI. Meanwhile in GB, as we've seen with the lorry driver shortage and will see when the full customs regime is implemented, things are only going to get worse.

"This deal on Northern Ireland we agreed to."

"Yes."

"We don't like it, and want to renegotiate it"

"You signed up for It."

"We did, but it's a bit shit. Can we talk about renewing it?"

"What do you want?"

"We want to keep everything we agreed to get rid of"

"What?"
