Remainers said Brexit was NOT an important Brexit issue. It remains unimportant post Brexit but despite this it has still been screwed despite Leaver assurances to the contrary.

So both sides are now saying the opposite of what they did? Yeah I can see that.

I said it wasn’t that important then and I don’t now.

That’s what I am saying, they are saying it wasn’t important and we should sacrifice fishing to get a deal, now they’re using it as an argument.

Both sides switched their “views” on how important fishing is.

To repeat, it's not and never was an important issue IN ITSELF ( that's what per se means) for Remain.
It's importance to Remain is that Leave made it an important issue and it has been screwed.

That's good.
My own view on all this is to wait and see.
But I am firmly of the view that Leave should take the praise for things that go right post Brexit and the criticism when things go wrong.
To the victor the spoils, but with that comes the accountability.
What Remain said pre referendum is irrelevant now.

I’m not sure it’s unreasonable to expect the fishermen to demonstrate they are out of pocket. But in return for that do we know what basis price they are paying the fishermen? I’d like to see them pay the average catch price per tonne for 2020 rather than current market prices (which are on their arse)
