Political relations between UK-EU

Had to laugh at the minister for Northern Ireland showing off and complaining about the amount of documents required for companies to get their goods into the EU. There is a single market to help this across Europe, we used to be fucking in it you idiot.

When Johnson agreed to the revised Protocol in October 2019, he knew exactly what the consequences were, an unworkable bureaucratic mess - easy for the EU to live with but a nightmare for NI. He knew it was a disaster for the Unionists and the Union.

He did it out of pure self-interest (to win the 2019 election).

We are now dealing with the cost of the lies told for the Tories to win that 80 seat majority.

This would all have been contained in the WA that they could have read except IDS said they didn't need to read it

Brexit Hard Man Steve Bakers says Johnson was forced to sign the WA under duress ( doesn't say from which side that pressure was applied ) - this message does not seem to be one posted by a man forced to do anything unless its evidence of Stockholm syndrome in action

People actually voted for this shit, it’s depressing stuff. No wonder we have stalling GDP at the moment and this shit stain of a government needs to take responsibility for it.

why? They have Covid ( blame it but don't take responsibility for the appalling handling of it ) and supply chain issues caused by the global recovery ( but nothing to do with Brexit - never ever to do with Brexit ) to scapegoat for it - the fact that they have ignored Covid for some time now and make no mention of it means as an excuse that is fading. Supply chain issues will fade as the world recovers so they need a new scapegoat or they may be asked some awkward questions about taking responsibility so now its the turn of the WA and the Protocol - they are prepared to destroy NI economy and plunge us into a trade war to save their own sorry arsed careers

Last thing is we need is a trade war when we have a tyrant trying to hold Europe over a barrel for energy supplies.

Yeah but its not about us its about the Tory Party and above all else Johnson staying in power - the rest of the country is shit on the soles of their collective shoes to be wiped off and discarded at will

You do realise this is how the Irish felt about their place in the so called union for centuries and pre the union going back to Lizzie the first.
It’s pretty much why every generation had an insurrection of one sort or another.

Time to man the barricades then

Most who voted, did so for some dream sold to them by snake oil salesmen. Bozo is bright enough to have foreseen some of the current difficulties (Pandemic aside).
He could not give a shit. All he ever saw was two terms in office and adulation.
I have lost two good, long standing friends as a consequence of our arguments before and after the B vote. One has shown himself to be a great deal more racist than I ever believed him to be and his stance on migrants is appalling to me. The other voted ‘yes’ to B as he said it was a poke in the eye to the establishment. With irony lost on him he was, and is, embedded in the establishment. He is now complaining loudly about some of the effects of our exit blaming the EU at every turn.

My best mate moved to central Spain 5 years ago. I wish i had joined him. This country is in the handcart on its way to hell.

I retired just after we lost freedom of movement - I was 4 months too late by dint of circumstances. I voted Remain I knew what a disaster was coming as a result of the Leave vote there were people on here ( who are seemingly ghosts as they have vanished ) who accused me of being a traitor amongst other things FFS but oddly they no longer have the backbone to defend what they were saying three of four years ago. I would gladly move abroad whilst retaining my UK citizenship but instead people who are too cowardly to defend the damage that their being taken in has done have condemned us all to being shackled to a failing country.

Divide and conquer.
Its really the only thing that they have succeeded at but without doubt the most dangerous for the people of this country.

Yet more thicko's who knew what they were voting for and who voted for the UK to become a 3rd country angry at what becoming a 3rd country means for travellers who have surrendered their FoM
