An item on the RTE news showed that the English shops in and around Brussels couldn’t get British produce so are now being supplied by SuperValu (an Irish supermarket chain) with similar Irish produce like thick cut bacon sausages etc.
Customers interviewed seemed to be pleased enough with what was on offer

yet its our suppliers and producers who are prospering mightily according to Johnson. Its all fantasy shit which for the moment to please the Ultra's and the elderly but it will all come home to roost soon enough.
This thing about pork exports suffering. My Mrs was in Great Ayton today - there are quite a few pork producers round here - and a local independent butchers there was banging out 10 nice big fat traditional pork chops for a fiver. Well it would be rude not to wouldn't it? So thats Sunday lunch and a few tea's sorted but at that rate I bet the pig producers are having to sell to market at near cost price - another sector fucked over.

Are there any sectors of the economy doing well out of Brexit? Any at all?

the govt had paid for a couple of ads from firms saying what a great idea it is ( published in the Heil and Torygraph of course ) though its simply pointed out that the firms in those ads were basically trading outside the EU and had been for years - in fact I think one or two don't even trade in the EU so they think its a good deal because nothing has changed for them anyway

Clonakilty pudding??

I suggested ages ago we should have a pro-Brexit and an anti-Brexit thread. We've got one, because the Brexiters have given up finding any Brexit good news.

Agreed. To be honest, I gave up posting Brexit bad news, too much of it and too easy. NI will be where it blows up, Govt can’t accept the consequences of the deal it agreed and this state of denial will end tears.
