Political relations between UK-EU

Who's your favourite current politician, out of interest?

Edit: Mine is Priti Patel btw

I don't have a favourite - its politics not a sport you have to watch what they are up to and view them accordingly in a party and national context. For instance I was always interested in what Dennis Skinner said. Mo Mowlem was simply a better politician and a better person than anyone in the HoC today. My local LD local council candidate who has stood in the last two elections for MP and councillor does a lot of good work locally - I am big on truth and morality in politics something that seems to have left the building over the last decade.

what have Gove and Rees-Bogg had to say in the last month or so about fishing............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................ no thought not

I didn’t vote leave due to immigration so ...

As for the actual article. You can come for an interview or interviews but you cannot come to find an interview. It doesn’t seem that difficult to understand the difference.

Yes, and lock them up, for not appreciating the difference.

Our problem is that this sort of nonsense, which can be resolved without locking anyone up, will gain publicity and traction in Europe and lead to further friction in what is already a fractious relationship.

I do agree with you on all of that.

The one where the Spanish lady wanted to pay for her flights home that same day but was detained does seem like bureaucracy gone made. If people make genuine mistakes allow them to rectify it - unfortunately they will probably end up with some sort of flag against their names undoubtedly making it harder to visit the UK in the future.

Talking of fractious...seems the DUP and Unionists are spoiling for conflict. Remember those carefree days when the temperature in NI wasn’t being stoked up? I guess fractious relationships within our own Union and with our nearest neighbours was what people voted for after all.

DUP leadership candidate Sir Jeffrey Donaldson’s team have briefed that if he replaces Arlene Foster, he will provoke others into collapsing the Northern Ireland Assembly. He will stop all North-South meetings and breach the ministerial code in the process.’

I think they will probably skip that one based on the welcome they received.

Stopping people entering the country is why people voted Brexit.

That, and a divided Union, higher trade barriers and increased costs, gradual removal of UK companies from European supply chains and an internal customs border.

And that’s just the highlights.
